Is this product at all different from the hand lotion beside being labeled as intended for feet rather than hands?

Nope! We realized folks loved using Carpe on their feet, so we just formally made a separate line to simplify discussion and feedback. As we continue to develop future formula revisions, the two products may diverge, but at the moment, both are exactly the same, and sell at the same price for the same amount.

What is the active ingredient?

Aluminum sesquichlorohydrate..small print. I needed to use a magnifying glass. forms of aluminum are found in antiperspirants. They temporarily blocked sweat ducts thus stop sweating. This active ingredient is more potent because the product has to be absorbed through thicker Issues with the use cancer, Alzheimer's. Read about it online.

How long does one tube last?

Twice a day, it not make the 6 weeks of continuous use they recommend, however it does work. I bought a back up tube and now use it about every couple of days

Will this product work for someone who thru hikes 18+ miles a day? How often does it need to be applied? Will it help prevent blisters?

I have used this product almost a month, has had to apply daily! I normally apply after my morning shower. It prevents my feet from sweating all day. Do not know about blisters.
