is there any problems with tarnish to silver rings?

Are the ring slots cut all the way thru the foam? I want to use this as a coin holder for coins in capsules....

Yes, each cut go right through to the bottom of the foam. You can also remove the foam out of its carrier if you need to.

Do the slots hold rings tightly?

The ring holder is like a sponge with slits cut in it, like in jewelers' ring boxes. It holds lighter rings tightly, but a few of mine are massive and extremely heavy, and those can move around. But the box zips shut, so even if rings do move around, they aren't going anywhere.
