Sunnydaze Round Fire Pit Grill Grate with Handles, Heavy Duty Steel, 22"

This cooking grill was purchased for use with a portable propane fire pit we carry with our motorhome. It is light weight and small enough diameter that it fits fine in our underneath storage compartment. The grill pattern is tight enough for smaller food items and yet large enough to let the flames through. I installed my own hooks at 3 intervals around the rim. Then I suspend it with chains from a 3-legged tripod (also used with a cast iron pot). The grill is well-made and did not have sharps edges or poor workmanship. I know it will last a long time. It arrived on time and was well-packed. The seller could have used a smaller box and protective measures, but instead it was in a bigger box with plenty of protection. I would definitely purchase this again.

I purchased this 30" to fit my "Catalina Creations Heavy Duty Cast Iron Fire Pit with Cover and Accessories, 29"" that I also purchased from Amazon. It is a little tighter than I expected, but fit over the top to turn the fire pit into a wood cooking grill. I would give it a 5 star, but it is bent inward a bit (the rim underneath), and I thought it would be a little looser given the 1 inch difference. I have not yet used either of them yet. But I would recommend them together. It also would serve as a spark screen, although the fire pit came with a domed one. Really being able to cook with a fire pit gives you an emergency cooking application, even if you typically use a gas grill. As well as regular grill cooking, Looks to be heavy enough to support a cast iron Dutch oven style pot. Would NOT fit a 30 inch fire pit top. I plan on keeping this inside my utility building as it appears as though it may rust. The cover that came with the fire pit will NOT fit on top of this. I would have to buy a bigger cover or use a tarp.

We built a fire pit that was slightly less than 40" in diameter and looked for grill tops for cooking. We ordered this one on the largest 40" size, and it works perfectly. Because it is round and the fire pit is as well, the grill cannot fall into the pit, so the fact the two are so similar in diameter is no problem. In fact, we love the way it fits. The grill is sturdy, and we hope to use it for years to come. Our plan is to keep the grill oiled and relatively clean and to keep it out of the rain by hanging it on a hook in the garage. Some people talked about warping, but after a couple of hot fires, I would say that any warping is minimal, and now that it has cooled we cannot see any evidence of warping at all. I would recommend this product!

We have had ours since 12/31/2014! It is alittle rusted but has survived New England weather like a champ!!!

We are thrilled with the size and fit of this grill cover. It isn't heavy so not sure how long the grate will hold up but we are please with the quality considering the cost and look forward to several years with it for sure.

Don't expect an "exact" circle with this grill, mine wasn't. I have a fire pit that has a top opening of 29 1/2" wide and this would not fit over the top of it. I took a tape measure and took measurements across different diameters and it ranged from 29 1/4" to 30", so not a perfect circle and would not fit my fire pit. I flipped it over upside down for now, and not sure what to do next. Maybe get a big hammer and see if I can make it fit somehow. I don't really want to deal with returning this item, its big and heavy and I'm gonna see if I can make it work. Also, I think the price is high for what it is. I hope if lasts for a while, but only time will tell.

Fit my in-ground firepit perfectly as per spec measurements. Weight and quality of the materials are well suited for my use. I am not daily grilling to be sure but it has been a big hit later in the evening when throwing some street meat on the grill after a few pops :))

When I first saw this it was 95 bucks. Reasonable. Then my daughter wanted to buy it for me for Father's day and the 95 dollar one was out of stock but the same other one that was available was 170 bucks. Way too expensive for a piece of metal and chicken wire. But she insisted to buy it then a few weeks later the 95 dollar one was available. Someone's making money. Dosen't look good for Amazon cause I'm a big customer. Not happy on this one though
