I looked all over for a door like this and this was the only place I found one. The door is great! Installed easily, looks good with the panels on the door and my dogs used it from the first day. I thought I would have to buy a whole new door ($500) and was so pleased to find this dog door.

Trying to put a pet door in a mobile home door was tricky because there were limited options on replacement exterior doors. This solved that problem for me. Works like a charm and installed exactly like the instructions said.

Pros: Relatively easy to install. The template was just wide enough to remove both panels. Looks very nice inside and out.Cons: I hate the the "closing panel" It snaps into place, which is not very secure. The dog can just push and the panel comes right off. Would have been much better is it was a typical slide in from above lockout panel.Unsure: Not sure how energy efficient this will be. As you can see in the photo, the dual flaps still leave gaps. In addition, the frame itself is not insulated, so not sure how it will do when the weather turns cold. Luckily here in Central Texas, that shouldn't be too big of an issue.

The door is well built I did read other reviews and one said the hinges was a week point but I didn’t see any problem in this area the one I received has a sturdy metal hing if there dog is able to destroy this door than they need to send the dog to obedience training because nothing is safe from them it’s a great door

This doggy door is a life saver. I was hesitant at cutting into my metal door but after I bit the bullet it was well worth it. The large frame blends into the door and is extremely sturdy. No outside weather can be felt through the double flaps nor the panel. I have one dog that has been able to knock the plastic guard off the lockout door through no fault of the design(she is just determined). The guard snaps on tightly and with the abuse it's taken in over a year it still holds tight.

Nice looking door panel and perfect size for my 100lb lab, but you don’t realize the snap on cover is worthless until it’s installed and impossible to return. Any dog (or any animal wanting in) can push on it and it pops off. Not secure at all. Also definitely lets a draft in. Not sure why this product is so highly rated…..

I bought this because I have got a new puppy that just couldn't hold her bladder like my other dog. It took a few days to get them use to it without even working with them. My dogs are both right at 50 lbs and the minimum recommended height. They can step through just fine, but usually hop their back legs through at the same time. Installation was fairly easy, and I'm not a handy guy. There are the slightest openings between the sides of the flaps and the door, but I have noticed no change in utility costs or bug problems. I've had it almost a year and live in Alabama, for reference. I have a minor complaint due to the fact that a single plastic covering is a different shade that all the other plastic. It is paintbable, but I've yet do do so, as I have a white door.

This attractive pet door is a good solution for panel doors. The installation took about two hours from start to finish. The magnets hold the door closed in most windy conditions. The dogs learned to use it very quickly. The only flaw I have noticed are that the magnets are a little noisy when they close. We live in a very rural and quiet area so all noises seem louder. I would buy this again without hesitation.
