GriffinElan form Case with EasyDock for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Black)

I've owned this case for over a year now. I bought it when I bought my 3G. It was the nicest case they had in the AT&T store so I chose it to have a case figuring I could always replace it. After trying a couple of other cases friends recommended, I always came back to this case. Has a nice executive look. It hasn't scratched my phone or caused any other harm. In fact the reason I buying another is my phone fell off a pool bar onto concrete and while the case itself cracked, my phone is still in one piece.

First things first. The plastic screen cover didn't work all that well, but I had no intentions of using it as the screen is made of glass and doesn't appear to scratch that easily. The fit is great and the quality of construction is perfect. The case in very low profile and looks nice on the phone. I dont use the dock so I havent removed the bottom but it is easy to install and remove. As far as drop protection, I think this case would hold up ok in a fall, ovbiously a thicker rubber case would be better but I didn't want that.

I received the item today. The case feels nothing like leather even though the description states that the case is "leather". It is one of those plastic covers that sells for over $30, but takes to produce for maybe $0.01. The "leather" part is thinner than paper that is glued on a piece of plastic. I was looking for a soft, durable, professional looking leather case. Would not buy it again as this case is just a piece of overpriced plastic.

This case was really nice to hold and was really pleasing to the touch. It also came with a screen protector which was easy for me to apply maybe because I've watched people do it many times before. Just Youtube it and you'll be fine. Just make sure not to constantly slide it on and off because the bottom will eventually be too easy to slide off and come off in your pocket or purse or something. Left all ports, side buttons and switches open to use while still being protective.

Case is quite nice and stylish, but it is not without fault. The leather (which is real!) is a bit thin and at the upper-left corner, it's a bit narrow and moves around some. It feels as if one day it will no longer be adhered and will all peel off. Hopefully not!Also, the bottom half doesn't have a way to snap in place or anything, so it has come off a couple times. I just make sure I keep it pushed on tightly and hope it doesn't slide apart.Despite these small faults, I do like it!!

My son can't believe that his first iphone is still alive and well...however, his original protective case wasn't doing so well. This new case is quality and will last a long time.

This case is not as good as the one that was made for the original Iphone. The 3gs cover was always slipping off, it broke, just not well made. Glad I didn't pay full retain for the case.

The rubberized leather started to peel off the corner and any dirt that gets inside scratches the back. I've started to let my iPhone go naked instead of subjecting it to this fat torture chamber.
