iJDMTOY Pair Dual-Connector CCFL Inverters Compatible With CCFL Cold Cathode Fluorescent Halo Ring Angel Eyes Lighting Kit Replacement

I bought these to replace an inverter that failed on some aftermarket headlights. I still have one as a back up. They arrived quickly, undamaged, and as describved. The inverters were a lot smaller than the ones they replaced. I installed last night (3/16/16). My aftermarket lights were hardwired to the inverters so I had to cut the wires and solder in the replacement inverters. The wires going from the inverter to the lights are very short but I was still able to solder them.The question I have and anyone else should have is will these last? I installed my headlights in January and 1 failed within a month and the other one just failed. It is my understanding it is common for inverters to fail and fail frequently. Of course, I don't want to replace inverters every other month so I am hoping these last. I will provide updates on the durability of these inverters.**UPDATE**As of 9/6/16, the inverters are still working. It makes me wonder if they fail in cold temperatures as my failures occurred when the weather would have been somewhat cold. These seem to be a solid replacement.

Mine lasted one and a half years. But what’s interesting is why it eventually failed. First, I noticed the bulge on the cover. So I decided to break it open and I was just curious what part had expanded.What I saw surprised me. The electronics inside are encased in like a plastic sealer. But when you pull it out, it was clear that there was a huge bubble of air inside. So a large area of the electronics were properly not sealed to the elements.When you look closely at the picture, you can see that the components not sealed definitely have corrosion.So ultimately, what caused the failure was the air bubble inside, and that some of the electronics were not sealed from the elements.They are inexpensive enough to replace. But what concerns me is that a failure like this could cause a wire to burn or a fuse to trip. Worst case it caused damage to my headlight or two electrical wiring.

The vehicle. 2007 Chevy K3500, with replacement Spyder lights, having 2 halo rings on each light assembly. Of course to R/R the headlamp assembly requires the removal of the grille, front fan shroud and loosening of the inner wheel well housing. That said, once the light assembly was freed up, the removal of the old inverter was easy. This replacement unit is much smaller than the original, which if fine. Ended up soldering the wires that needed to be cut, and was pleasantly surprised that the connectors on the iJDMTOY Pair Replacement Dual-Connector CCFL, were an exact match for the unit that had failed. Hoping to get a few years of service from this/these inverters. Of course the package came with 2 new inverters , which was great and also provides peace of mind in the event the other side 'old' inverter fails. Much better alternative [and significant cost savings] than to replace the complete headlight assemblies.

Just what I needed I have ccfl and one stopped working I buy these hook them up in mins and they work againUpdate- so the car I installed this in I don't drive much maybe a few times a month so that being said over the weekend one of those stopped working so I called ijdmtoy today because I have ordered other things from them before and they have alway been very helpful but today they told me the item only has a 90 day warrant, so they have lost a long time customer over a 13$ item and really only ask for them to replace the one that stopped work so really a 6$ item

Purchased these to replace a stock Spyder inverter that failed a few months after purchasing my halo headlights. Installation was a breeze and the new inverter has been working flawlessly since I've installed it. I have not noticed any difference in brightness compared to the stock Spyder inverter either. Definitely purchase if you are need of a replacement inverter for your CCFLs!
