Hot Wheels Acceleracers Hyperpod w/DVD and Teku

I think some people who dont like some acceleracer pieces, and give them low ratings, claiming they are "boring" or disappointing havent seen the movies. Maybe they dont appreciate the role playing or reenacting children can do with these pieces. I do think people expect too much for simple afforable toys as well.No, the hyperpod isnt completly automatic, it is not a bad thing for kids to be more interactive with a toy and not just push buttons. The child pulls out the grapling hook so they can hook it on things if they want. And it will wind itself back in. Yes simple, and still fun!!Any acceleracers fan will appreciate this toy. If you are looking for a super toy that plays itself, you will probably be disappointed.

I was trying to figure out this toy for my 4 year old son (it was a birthday gift) and I thought I was losing my mind!!!! I kept looking at the directions and trying to figure out exactly what it does...the answer was not much.... What fun is it to have the car pull itself up on a pulley (very slowly)? It reminded me of toys I used to have when you would pull a string and it would make the toy talk (except it doesn't talk, maybe that would have made it more exciting)anyway I think it was a waste, my son will probably have more fun with the car inside that he can just push around on the floor.....

I have to say my son was a little disappointed when he got this & found out that the hook doesn't shoot out. He does enjoy playing with this though. He has a couple other of the Hyperpods as well. Right now he just loves anything that has to do with Acceleracers.

Recently visited my grandson, who is 5 and a 1/2 and he said it is a great toy! I thought it was a little noisy and thought it would be allot neater if it shot out if you pressed a button but he didn't seem to mind. He hooked it on to things himself and watched it pull itself up.... He would highly recommend this toy to other 5 year olds.
