Comeaux Caps Reversible Welding Cap Solid Black 7 1/8

Didn’t like one size fits all. A little to big for my head

This cap looks to be well made and fits true to size. Delivery was surprisingly prompt and its low price makes it a good value.

The headband size 7⅛ that I ordered seems to be fairly correct but the overall shape and feel of the cap is different than the Comeaux caps that I'm used to wearing. The largest issue I have with it however is that it's made too deep which gives me a rooster comb on top which can be felt folded up against my head when wearing my welding hood. I've been wearing Comeaux caps for years because of how well they fit and how light feeling they are. Comeaux could very well have made a design change but in my opinion according to the one I received it seems like a copy that simply isn't made the same or possibly even one that didn't pass quality control and made it's way out anyway. In my picture the red printed cap is my current Comeaux as compared to the black one I received. The overall shape, material thickness (weight) and head depth are just not the same as the red one. In summary it will still serve it's purpose but comfort will not be the same as I have been accustomed to with all my prior Comeaux caps.

Good quality. Worth the money

I have been buying this brand of hat for over 50 years, but will not buy again. They come way too big, and are too much cone top. There is too much material to get bunched up under a welding hood. The hood dosn't fit down and can't be tightened good enough. Very uncomfortable. Went to another brand.
