Before my recent trip to Snowdonia, I realized I had lost my Petzl head torch the day before. I spent some time searching for a new one on Amazon and found several models at affordable prices. After considering my options, I chose a 440-lumens model that seemed to offer good value for money. Here are the reasons why I picked this particular head torch:1. Power: The 440 lumens output and 5 different modes make it suitable for various activities, such as trail running at night and illuminating a tent.2. Battery and charging: The head torch has an 1800 mAh battery that can be charged via USB type C. After using it actively for 4 days, I did not need to recharge it. Interestingly, most of the cheaper models either offered outdated mini USB for charging or regular AAA batteries.3. Lightweight: Despite the decent battery capacity, the head torch is lightweight and strikes a good balance between performance and autonomy. It's suitable for multi-day hikes and leisurely walks. You could probably find torches that are 10-20 grams lighter, but they would either be less powerful, have a worse battery, or be unjustifiably expensive. 4. Waterproof: The head torch performed well in light rain.5. Comfortable strap: The adjustable strap does not exert uncomfortable pressure on the head during use.6. Additional features: There is an on/off sensor, although I did not find much use for it. However, it lacks a red light, which I sometimes use when camping at night. Despite this drawback, the head torch offers good quality at a reasonable price.Overall, I consider this to be a very decent torch that performs well in most scenarios. Considering its quality and affordability, I would choose this head torch again without hesitation over both premium and cheaper alternatives.

Bought this one as a gift - as I already have one myself and it is so useful.Rechargeable, comfortable and adjustable headband. Good range of brightness settings. Makes any task so much easier when you can properly see what you're doing!

For the money, the torch is excellent. It has various modes which cater for all use types - including a very helpful diffused floodlight mode for working on things up close, for example in cupboards. It has a USB-C charging port instead of the flimsy micro-usb so that’s great.The head strap is sturdy and quite comfortable, and the light itself has adjustable tilt via a hinged plastic plate. This works well.Battery life is acceptable as is the on/off button. It has a hands-free function which could be fairly useful although it is perhaps a little over-sensitive. Overall, I would highly recommend.

This is a lightweight, USB C rechargeable headtorch with a single elastic strap.What I wouldn't have given for something this bright, lightweight and rechargeable in my hillwalking days 20+ years ago!I find the band easy to adjust and comfortable. The light itself is bright enough for all the activities I need it for: like walking down to the end of the garden at night. You can can adjust the brightness, and swivel the beam up and down. It's also easily rechargeable with any USB C cable, although I seldom need to charge it as the LED bulbs don't use much power.

I bought other 3÷4 head lights before getting this one. No need to look again. Exactly what I need for my work. Well built and versatile.

Great head torch ,supper bright and lots of different choices of elimination, great hands free of operation,long lasting battery easy usb charging. would highly recommend ,great for dog walking in these dark evenings.

Just recieved the headlight but I have already used it mainly for DIY in poorly lit areas such as beneath my house to access plumbing - it is in a class of its own for both brightness and spread of light, adjustable and really a first class headlamp !

I get through quite a few headtorches, I rate this one pretty highly. Solid construction, good basic functions, good beam.
