Ancient Foods Organic Basil – Organic Greek Basil from Vordonia, Dried Basil Leaves for Cooking and Seasoning (30g)

This basil has so much flavor and gusto. I do grow my own basil every year and dry it. This is so much better than even my homegrown. The flavor is richer and compliments lamb perfectly. I have tried many varieties and none are as flavorful as this. Great price for what you get. Very fresh. I have purchased my second bag already.

Fragrant and adds so much flavor to food. So much better than the tasteless basil from the supermarket. Have not yet tried their other herbs but highly recommend the basil.

This tastes just like basil picked from the garden. Upon opening it, I noticed it looked different than the normal dried basil I buy in the store or online. This has a few small dried stems along with the dried basil. It is organic which is always a plus with me. I did a small taste test. I tasted the basil I had on hand and the Ancient Foods Organic basil. Mine had little to practically no flavor. I never really tasted the dried basil in my closet before and it was an older bottle. I was looking to replace it this fall after mine in the garden was harvested. I tasted the Ancient Foods Organic basil. It was FULL of basil flavor. I made some of my favorite Greek salad dressing. It tastes delicious with the Ancient Foods organic basil. I can actually taste the herbs now. Before with my old basil, the flavor was an indication that I needed to purchase new basil because my dressing was pretty flavorless. I am very happy with this basil. It is flavorful. 30 grams is about 1 ounce. It filled two normal sized spice jars to the very top. I had to push down the basil to fit the last bit in. I still had about a 1 tsp left- the perfect amount to make my dressing. It is pricier than basil I can buy in store or by bulk at my favorite online store. I don't normally say this when things are pricier than others but In my opinion, it is worth every penny of it. It is organic and full of flavor.

This is a bag of organic dried basil. I do a lot of cooking in my kitchen I’m always looking for new herbs and spices for my spice rack. I came across this basil and saw that it was organic and fresh and I thought I’d give it a try. The flavor is really good I like putting basil on pizza or pasta or even in meatballs. I like the size of the actual basil pieces it’s not too large and not small it’s I want to see a medium size. It smells very fragrant and the flavor is really good and overall I’m really happy with it. Want to add that the color is also a good color for dried basil it’s like a dark darkish green color.
