A knee saved!
I’ve only had this a short time and it’s been a knee saver while my foot is recovering. The pad was a little stiff to begin with and I didn’t feel much of a difference but it smoothed out and it’s 100% more comfortable than the stock pad. It fits well over the original pad and the two elastic bands keep it in place. My only complaint is when it’s hot out, it isn’t very breathable so sweat will build up but it’s still better than nothing. Maybe the sheep pad would’ve been better but I’m not planning on using this forever so it works!

Best scooter for home and outdoors
This is, by far, the best option for anybody leaving the house. I rented others (one 3-wheel, one 4-wheel) and this is a thousand percent better. There is no fear of tipping or hitting some small pebble and coming to a disastrous halt.Easy to assemble with simple instructions. And when I say easy, I was already in a cast. I would invest in a couple Allen wrench sets to make sure you can tighten all of the bolts. Comes with what you need for assembly, but for maintaining the whole thing you need other sizes.Much more comfortable ride than others. The knee pad is actually padded and not a hard surface. I did invest in an extra pad to give myself more softness since my cast is knee high. The tires make all the difference in the world. While I’ve seen complaints about width, the stability is a fair trade off. Easy to get around on any surface, absorbs shock. Make sure you have a tire gauge to monitor PSI.I’ve taken this everywhere. Roads, rough sidewalks, trails and all transit systems. I would suggest ramping up your time before planning longer excursions because no matter how comfortable it is, your body isn’t meant to support itself on one knee. Remains stable when bags of groceries are slung over handlebars and maneuverable enough to get around the house.

Can't recommend this enough!!
I bought this scooter prior to having foot surgery which requires me being non-weightbearing for the next 3 months. This scooter is the best possible thing I could have gotten to make my recovery time tolerable. It is comfortable, solid and handles well. It has a narrow width so works perfectly indoors and out. I can't imagine trying to maintain my daily routine without it. I got the extra padding which I recommend; although the seat is padded well, if you will be using the scooter a lot the extra padding is helpful. My other best advice is, if you know in advance that you will be needing it, get the scooter a month or so ahead of time so you can practice using it. The brakes are sensitive and you will probably be surprised at the speed you can achieve. Also, this scooter will use different muscles than you are used to, give yourself a chance to get comfortable with it before you are reliant on it.

Still not comfortable resting "old" knee on seat.
I purchased this KneeRover Memory Pad Knee Scooter Pad cover cushion, when I ordered my KneeRover. The material and workman ship appears well made. The pad fits the "seat" of the KneeRover perfectly. It has elastic straps and a draw string to attach. I knew that I would need a cushion after trying out a knee scooter at a medical supply company. The supplied "seat" was much too firm. After receiving both the KneeRover Scooter, WITH the KneeRover Knee pad, I spent some time getting use to using it. I found that the cushion did help some, but still not very comfortable, and was somewhat painful on my old 74yr old knee. I was hoping that the memory foam was a bit more conforming to my knee-shin. Also the beading around the edge, though looks nice, tends to be a sore spot. The cover fits the "seat" well but if you stray too much off of center with your knee, it does tend to become a bit displaced. I don't know if there is a better alternative on the market. Maybe if you are younger, no arthritis, and more meat on your bones, the problem that I have experienced won't be an issue.

Doesn’t last, slides sideways no matter how much you tighten it
I broke my leg 16 days ago. I got the knee rover scooter 2 days later. The pad on it is not very comfortable so I spent $30 on this extra-cushioning pad + cover a few days later as I prepared for ORIF surgery. We put it on and pulled the strings as tight as they’d go and locked them in with the toggle. The first time I used it it felt very cushiony, but as soon as I went forward the cushion immediately shifted all the way to the right, and threw my off the side and onto my broken leg. Fortunately it didn’t undo the ER reduction but the pain was excruciating and the pad should never shift at all-ever. No amount of tightening has corrected this. It is VERY unstable. The pad makes it impossible to feel the concave portion of the pad underneath so you have to be extremely careful to make sure you are aligned and centered on the scooter.2 days ago I got my first full cast on. I was in a sugar tong style from the ER and a similar type after the surgery, it only covered the back of my leg. 2 days of using the scooter pad with a cast (extremely carefully I might add) the pad is shredding. I only use it to get around the house to do basic survival functions like getting to the bathroom, kitchen, couch, or bed.Do yourself a favor and try another pad or glue Velcro to the mating surfaces of the pads or ratchet strap it down or something. Better yet, don’t use this at all and risk more damage to yourself and have it last for a few days.

Must have for scooter
Excellent quality. Improved the comfort of my scooter drastically. So comfortable, my coworkers at the hospital wanted to sit on it.

I'd return it if I could
I got this extra cushion because my post-surgical cast was super bulky and dug painfully into my shin. I had that cast for a week and now I'm in a slimmer cast that is more comfortable. This is certainly softer than the standard knee rover "seat" and gave me some, but not much, relief when I had my huge post-surgical cast. But now that I'm in a slimmer cast I've removed it. Why? 1) I'm 5'4" and it's makes the seat too high for me to use my scooter barefoot, even at the lowest seat setting. 2) It's so soft that my knee slops around in a way that makes me feel like I'm on the verge of injuring it (last thing I need is another injury!). 3) It makes me less stable on the scooter overall.
