Best anti rust metal coating
I have a fifth Gen. 4 runner. This is a once and done deal undercoat.Cosmoline is a old military coating that lasts a long time in adverse conditions, a little messy to put on, but it comes in black looks great and lasts long. Highly recommend. A bit pricey , but it works. Took a day DIY

Good enough for the military so should be good for me.
I really like this product, warm it up to temp first..I did research on what the military and GM use on their vehicles/frames to protect against corrosion..Gm uses a derivative of what this is and the military uses the same it may actually be the same from another manufacturer. It is a WAX product. GM dips their raw steel (bare) frames in a product as such and you have to maintain the frame as it will scape off from things like a road debris, lift or jack etc. I have a brand new GM truck and have learned when it comes back from warranty service or after you jack it up etc you have to repair or re-coat where to factory wax gets removed or scaped away. It goes on nice, does not run and covers up nicely and cleans up easily. I touched up my truck frame after I noticed the factory material was scraped off or scratched off from transport showing bare metal. Your truck will start to corrode in these areas. I touched them up immediately as it is a perfect match for the GM material used and "won't break down the factory coating like a oil based fluid film" will do..I plan to use more of the Black and Transparent cosmoline for the body panels for added protection in this rust state..Could be used to protect a lot of items from corrosion and can easily be removed. After reading several negative reviews I find it hard to believe a person could think this will stop the rust on a corroded frame which in my opinion is stupid like some people..Get to it before it starts..

Good product
Good product. I use it to protect my truck frame. Reapply once a year. 10 year old truck and frame is in good shape. Always buy once a year. Cheap protection for your vehicle frame or whatever you want to protect that lives in the weather

Great product.
Cosmolene was brushed on with a prush. It often goes on too thick and makes it hard to remove. This spray can go on lightly and is easier to remove.

It does run a little based on amount sprayed.
Product goes on easily, covers well, appears that is going to hold up to road conditions.

Seems decent
I've used this on several items now. I can't say how it holds rust off, long term, but I was happy with how it applied. I've sprayed it on the bottom of several cabinets that I have out in the garage that sit on the cement floor.

Disappointed
Absolutely dose not stop or prevent rust. My rust has spread at a faster rate it seems.
