What a pleasant surprise.The unit is a small plug in OBD device & coupled with the software is an excellent tool in a compact style. There is no reason why you cannot carry this in your pocket. Do not confuse this with similar plug in bluetooth devices without the superior software.The EOBD functions are all there as standard & the special functions, ABS, SRS diagnostics & ABS Braking Bleed, SRS(Airbag Reset) Services are free of charge for 12 months. After 12 months you then have the choice to subscribe to the special functions you actually need & not the ones you do not need.The build quality of the unit is excellent and the software worked quickly without any issues.All in all a value for money product which you can keep discretely in the vehicle at all times.

When inevitably the reader fails to communicate with your phone rendering it useless you will that customer support does not exist.

First impressions of the product are very good, comes in a nice box adequate enough to not allow the product to get damaged. Inside you will find the OBD reader itself along with a little lanyard and also a brief quick start manual.The OBD scanner itself feels like a quality product, much better than a cheaper different branded scanner i got years ago. It is all plastic with a grippy rubber branded area on the top and bottom to help with grip. The sides are textured to allow easy insertion into the OBD port of the vehicle. As explained earlier it comes with a lanyard so that further makes it easier to handle.The first step is to download the Autel MaxiAP200 app. I was using android so downloaded the app from the google play store. Once the app is installed you are prompted to create a Autel account. This is so you can register the device via serial number to your Autel account (more on this later). Once your account is created simply login.The next step is to download the required files. In the app go to Mall and select EOBD and the download icon.You have then got to install a separate app which just contains some additional files to get the app working.A small note here, the additional files are around 1.7GB so make sure you have enough space on your phone.Once that is done go back into the original app and go back to Mall.There are three modules you get with the AP200C. EOBD, ABS and SRS.Just download them all individually.EOBD functions are free forever.ABS and SRS functions you get 1 year included after which you will have to pay.Other modules are available to purchase individually but you they cost $29.99 each for the year which i think is reasonable.To get the device connected you open the app and press in the top right of the screen, there is a little VCI button. Press it and it will walk you through the pairing process. Obviously make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is on at this point.The next step which is not official but it is what i would do, is make sure the device firmware is up to date.Press Me > VCI manager > Press detect firmware. If an update is needed it will run through that.So in the app you have the EOBD function, which will scan for any standard vehicle error codes. You should have the option to reset the codes if needed.Pressing the service option allows you to go into the service specific stuff such as ABS and SRS. If you want to scan for codes / reset those, you will need to use the modules in there. Just select the vehicle make and download the file. Go back and select the module, you then have to either:-Scan for your VIN-Enter VIN manually-Or select the vehicle manually.It then allows you to scan for codes and reset if necessary.Please note, not all codes can be reset, this is not a fault of the product but how the car works.One example, some airbag lights cannot be reset if there is a genuine fault. The product will reset the light but depending on the fault it may just come straight back up or not be switched off at all.An extensive in app manual for the product can be found by going to ME > User manual.That is 24 pages and goes in depth to describe all the functionality / instructions.All in all this is a very nice product which I imagine would pay for itself eventually especially if you are dealing with used cars a lot. The functionality can be increased with other modules such as DPF and throttle match if needed for a small price. The product is small and is easier to carry round compared with the larger units which come with the screen.The product comes with a 1 year warranty and Autel themselves are a very reputable brand.For reference I used this myself on a 2013 Kia Rio, a 2015 Kia Rio and a 2015 Kia Cee'd.I can highly recommend.

Purchased this as worked in the motor trade and if honest I found this unit to work better than some of the £3K plus diagnostic scan tools. Lets start with the positives, this unit works with a good majority of the vehicle brands and not just the more popular ones. It connects easily and has a very easy to follow user interface, it connects with a wide variety of control modules that some of the more expensive scan tools can access and I was able via in app purchase to get extra functions as required. Probably the only downside to this unit is that the app requires a fair amount of storage space on your phone so a minimum device storage capacity of 64GB is recommended to download all the vehicle makes and control modules etc.

First off, customer service pre-sales was excellent. I'm based in u.k. running a North American spec. Chevy Tahoe and was worried that the MaxiAp200c would only work on european vehicles. So as advised on their listing I contacted Autel and provided VIN number. It was weekend period so I didn't expect an early response - but in a couple of hours I had my answer and decided to order. Amazon was a quick delivery. Pairing the blue tooth dongle was easy using the quick start booklet, followed the method to update the firmware, downloaded the GM software then scanned and quickly pulled the codes for the emissions checklight that I have had on for ever. I'm ordering the part to fix the fault. ABS problem to be sorted is the next job for the MaxiAP200C - it's paired with my Motorola E6s so is easy to run live data as you take a test drive (take a passenger to monitor the phone and keep things safe) ! The GM software is a biggish file so did take a couple of minutes to download. Very pleased with over all experience of buying and using the Autel-you get vehicle specific access free for I year, other vehicles can be added at extra cost - but if you're only interested in your own vehicle- no problem.

The media could not be loaded. El producto es muy bueno. El servicio post-venta súper rápido y eficaz. Tenía problemas para conectarlo y ellos solucionaron el problema. Responde muy rápido incluso en fin de semana. Cada funcion se compra por separado. Son licencias de un año. Pero las grandes marcas todas son así. por ahora lo estoy probando. La pega, que no me aclaro aún cuando sale algún Código de error. Ya que no especifica de donde proviene. Lo hace mediante valores de medición que si los desconoces te es más difícil detectar el fallo. Pero así trabajando muchos. Otros te orientan. Y sería bueno mejorar ese punto de la aplicación. Vale la pena renovar la licencia cada año si va mejorando. Calidad precio y funciones. De 10. Lo único que no se si me servirá para otro modelo o solo para el primero en el que lo he utilizado. Pero vale la pena. Cada extra, cada funcion tiene un coste con iba de 32euros.😊

Ho acquistato il prodotto dopo aver valutato quasi tutte le alternative per il budget a disposizione. Mi è sembrato l'unico con le funzionalità che mi serviscano (DPF regeneration) ad un costo ragionevole.Altra caratteristica che mi ha fatto propendere per l'acquisto è stato il fatto che il software riceve aggiornamenti continui dato che risiede nell'app e non è "statico" come la maggior parte delle soluzioni integrate (senza telefono).I materiali mi sono sembrati davvero ottimi ed i prodotto si presenta solido e non plasticoso, con tolleranze molto buone.L'installazione è avvenuta senza problemi ed il collegamento con l'auto è sempre stato stabile. Nel mio iPhone, non appena si inserire il dispositivo nella presa ODBII si riceve una notifica che invita a consentire il collegamento e avvia l'app.Le funzionalità principali sono incluse nell'app per un anno, per quelle più specifiche bisogna acquistare un modulo. Unica perplessità: un modulo a 29,99$ è diventato stranamente 32,6€ una volta perfezionato l'acquisto (IVA?!)Mi ritengo soddisfatto e consiglio l'articolo a chi vuole fare un po' di più che semplicemente "giocare" con la presa ODB2.

Me gusta lo cómodo que es, no me gusta que cada activación tiene limite de usos o un año, tenia que ser suscripción anual con todo. Luego compre el ap 200 el que es blanco, por que se supone que tenia mas cosas, y resulta que mi coche ni sale en la lista, este aparato no merece llevar el nombre de AUTEL.
