PENN-PLAX Reptology Turtle Topper Extender Clips (4 Pieces) – Safely Mounts to Tanks up to 19.5” Wide

Great product, solid material, easy to set up and STURDY. I did need to buy the extension clips as I was using it on a much bigger tank than was allowed, hence the extension clips they now sell. My only issue was the turtles =) Supposedly it takes a little time for them to get use to the new structure above/ramp in water. Tried for almost a month but no joy. Watched you tube videos from other owners that worked no problem after a few days to a week or so, so I know it works. Figure its like people, either you like it or you don't. May try again later down the line but other than that highly recommend.

First time around they sent me the wrong pieces but after I contacted them they sent the right parts and they fit perfect good quality and it is holding the habitat up perfectly very happy turtle

These are perfect for aquariums that are 18 inches + I have a 75 gallon tank for my aquatic turtles and have the topper yet it didn’t fit so when I saw these extensions it was perfect they holds really well on the tank didn’t even have to use screws and now my turtle babies climb up and splash down all day long beat invention yet. Now if they could make one for the thrive basking loft that would be great too

Was a bit skeptical at first but it works like a charm. Easy to install and it definitely helped my turtle platform to stay where it supposed to be.

I have a 40 gallon tank and the basking platform was not wide enough to study so I purchased these clams and it's just fine

These extender clips made me save 90 bucks. We upgraded our tank from 20 gal to 40 gal. And I almost made the mistake of buying another basking area but for 40 gal. Which wasn’t spacious as this brand. Topper fits perfectly fine with the clips. The only thing is that I placed the clips without the piece that goes at the end of the plastic screw. For some reason it wouldn’t fit with the piece on. We have had it for a month now, no issues yet.

Legit annoyed with this product. Supposed to fit up to 55 gallons but did NOT fit my 40 gallon. The suction cups weren’t helpful AT ALL. It’s too narrow to fit on top of tank and won’t sit on top safely without leaning. Bought the extender clips and they were even more terrible! Complete waste of money! They’re made to sit the topper inside of tank and hang onto the side of tank but the topper is too big do use the extender clips for a 40 gal. So in summary, too narrow to sit on top and too big to use with extender clips to fit inside. Complete waste of time and money. Very disappointed. Only giving 2 stars because once I rigged it to work with some boards, it got the job done and was sturdy enough to hold my turtle.

Did not fit my tank and found them to be very unstable. For the same price you can build a brace out of wood to hold the topper. I ended up returning this item.

My tank is 18 3/4” wide and I had to take the little pads off the screws to make it fit. It holds the topper nicely tho. Quite pricey for what they are.
