Oh how I wish I knew about these 6 weeks ago when I bought a new TV to replace the one my cat had jumped over, knocked down and smashed the screen, then I wouldn't have had to buy one again last week!Can now rest easy that the cat cannot knock this one over. Very easy to install as had screws already on back of TV and the unit had screw holes already too.

Stops tv falling forward (not back)
Really cheap and easy option to secure a tv to a cupboard. This will definitely stop the tv falling forward. It’s kind of obvious but it will NOT stop the tv being pushed backwards if this is a potential issue.

Not a universal fit
I have a 40 inch Samsung tv and had grown worried about this ending up on the floor when watching my cat turn that area into a highway and ordered these straps to protect it from the zoomes. These straps came without fitting instructions supplied and the bolts for mounting would not fit either the mounting holes for the tv. So off I went to the hardware store to pick up some m8 20mm bolts and with some modifications to the holes for the straps which where now to small for the larger bolts needed borring out to accommodate. So what I hoped be a 5 min fix turned into a 90 min saga.

Secure. (but not for all Tv sizes).
Bought this to make my 75inch TV more secure, the flat head screws supplied for the back of the TV, were not big enough. So i would say you need to buy them for TVs over 45inch at a guess. Also the straps are short so you would have an issue to fix to a wall or furniture with some TVs depending on the size and where you want it. Other than that, the straps are a good support - they do have a plastic buckle" that over time might be an issue? but they also have a release metal clasp at the top which is very strong.
