What a snail!! š
The media could not be loaded. Ā Our little gastropod arrived quickly and safely via SNAIL MAIL, yāall! Our pal came snugly packaged with well written care and feeding instructions. The fine folks also provided a free sample of calcium and magnesium powder. We followed the instructions and everything went as planned. Our snail is active and fun to observe! A real snailās snail! Highly recommend if you are in the market for a classroom pet or just want a snail to hang out with at the house! Weāre having a shelluva good time over here!

Sad and disappointed
***UPDATE***- Its been three days and my snail has died on Valentineās Day. I know I did everything right to acclimating her to her new home and providing her with all the foods she needs. The day I got her, she did look very small for her shell and malnourished. She seemed very weak. I thought everything was going to be ok, because I was going to fix her up and get her all healthy. Tonight when I went to go check them out, she wouldnāt wake up or move at all. I tried everything to see a small movement out of her. I am completely sad and devastated.The reason why I bought a snail is because seven months ago I found a baby garden snail in my store bought blackberries!! I decided to keep it and become a snail mom. I didnāt want Boogie to go his whole life without knowing thereās others like him. Lol. So I bought him a little friend š„ŗ Iām so happy with the snail I got. <3 Except, her shell has a crevice/cater in itš I hope the seller is taking really good care of the other snails and giving them proper nutrition.I am not a fan of the packaging. The snail came in a condiment container covered in tissue paper. On the packaging, all it said was āfragileā. It should also include, āthis side upā or something. I just want the best for the little snails š„ŗ In the box did include snail care instructions (which I did appreciate!!) and calcium magnesium powder. I wonāt be using the powder though, Iāll use cuttlebone instead.Overall, of course Iām happy I have another cute snail.. but I do wish the packaging a better.

Came alive and well
Great little snail. The packaging, I have to say, was truly awful. If you've ever ordered from an Italian restaurant, you know the size of the parmesan cheese containers. It was like that. The snail probably couldn't do a full circle! It did not come with sphagnum moss, but the seller did include basic snail info. I think that would be helpful for first time snail keepers. It also came with free calcium powder. I will not be using it, because they can overdose, and instead I use snail friendly cuttlebone. Beautiful snail, though. Brown shell with lighter-then-shell-brown and darker-then-shell-brown stripes. Will insert photo. ALSO! This is important to note! It took over a week to come! When it finally did, it wolfed down a LOT of Brittany Bellow's dandelion delight snail mix (highly recommend by the way! Etsy!).UPDATE: almost a week later, and still doing well. His favorite foods seem to be apple, carrot, and spinach (though he eats other stuff as well, that's what he devours fastest. I'm adding a photo right now!

he is so cute i named him dobby. he woke up in about 5 minutes, and he was very outgoing. im really thankful for the calcium sample! My package was supposed to get here january 16 but i got him 10 dats early!! Hardy Snail!
I originally did not recieve the delivery. I reached out to the seller, who responded very quickly. We eventually located our snail (the mishap was on our end, NOT the sellers), and everything was great! The packaging and information about snails that was included in the box was very clear, helpful, and informative. I would definitely order again!

After learning more about snail care, I think itās important to inform people that milk snails are an invasive species and are not even legal in all states. This seller ships snails without labeling them as a live animal. I also believe they may have iffy breeding practices. My snail arrived with shell damage and sleeps a lot more than my other healthier snail. Bad breeding can cause illness and short life span. The best option always is to find a snail locally and take itāitās more ethical than buying from an online seller like this since theyāre native to the area. Theyāre also usually much healthier.Unfortunately I didnāt realize this when I got these snails. My one snail doesnāt seem healthy but Iām trying my best to keep taking care of it. Milk snails sleep a lot more than other snail breeds and arenāt the best as beginner snail pets. A garden snail is more commonly found across the US and would be a better option as a pet, as theyāre less particular about humidity and are generally more active.All that said, please do your research and if you can find snails locally where you liveā¦ please opt for that rather than buying from this seller.

Poor Otala Lactea snail.
Update: The snail started to retreat and died within 24 hours. I contacted the seller and they accused me of not having a proper home even though I have healthy garden and baby snails right now that are thriving in the terrarium. Other sellers on different websites note that it's possible for snails not to survive transit. I can accept that, but accusing a customer who already has healthy adult and baby snails of not having a moist enough home is laughable. I would not recommend this seller and will never purchase from them again.I loved my new snail right away. It came out of its shell almost immediately after I opened the box. There was wet moss next to it in a small container. So happy it arrived safely. I took the moss out and put a piece of green lettuce next to it with the snail. It didnt want to eat the lettuce but it did eat the calcium(I gave it the fruity smelling one that I purchased from Amazon). My cornu aspersum slowly went closer to check out the new snail and I can tell they're going to be fast friends!š„°
