Simple Quilts from Me and My Sister Designs: Easy as 1, 2, 3

I am a fairly new quilter and these patterns look well thought out and fairly easy. I got another quilting book for beginners and could not figure out how to do everything. These suggestions I can picture in my mind.

The book itself was fine - no complaints. What wasn't fine was that I spent $18 for a book that was ridiculously packaged which resulted in it being bent before I received it. I returned it. Hopefully my new copy will not be damaged when received. This supplier should contact Amazon about packaging bendable items in something sturdier so as not to be wasteful.

My wife likes this book as a starting guide for beginner quilters and it has given her some really good ideas. It is well laid out, simple, and easy to follow. That said, there are a few critical mistakes in the book that are obvious if you think them through so it's not a big problem. But the user should absolutely not take every word as if it is perfect. A couple of the measurements just didn't make sense. My wife asked my opinion and I agreed that her reasoning was correct. Again, very nice book and kudos the authors for their work, but it could have used a bit more editing.

Good for absolute beginners. Probably not a great choice for quilters with much experience. Cute layout and has several patterns for beginners to make that will build skills and confidence

Nice easy patterns and step by step, easy to follow directions

Disappointed with this book. Every pattern is lap size: not a twin or full or queen. It is ok for beginners in quilting, but I am not interested in lap size quilts!

Really like it, has plenty of good info, nice patterns to try. Looking forward to doing some of them. Really enjoying quilting. Now just get the surgery for shoulder damage. Sigh!

Some lovely ideas in this book and inspiring colour choices.

I really enjoyed reading this book. After having been confused by a number of other books about quilting, this is what I have been looking for. This book explains quilt-making simply, so that I don't feel that making a quilt will take the rest of my life to master. I shall soon be making my own quilts.
