Sharpness - yes.
This is a good knife for the beginner whittler with not much experience. I will be looking for a shorter blade for my smaller hands. Finding the right knives for each project, Sharpness, size and price - these are good for those just getting started.

Simply amazing.
I have numerous carving knives but this one is probably going to be my favorite. It's comfortable in the hand super sharp and an amazing product. If I could I would give 20 Stars. An amazing price. Definitely go out and get yourself one you won't be sorry.

Good knife for the price.
Good knife for the price. The handle could be a better fit. Also the tip of the blade bent after a few strokes ofthe knife. Just has to be stopped to polish and harden. But overall good knife

Great for Beginners
Great first whittling knife for my 10 year old grandson.

good for small projects
For the price, this is a great knife. It was sharp right out of the box and I was able to carve a spoon with it. The handle is comfortable and the blade is a good size. I was worried about it not having a sheath, but it did come with a plastic shield over the blade that works perfectly fine as a safety shield when not in use.

i mean, its ... fine?
Came with an overly-thinned blade, such that was cutting using the chip left from grinding. (is this meant for peelin taters?) I honed the blade on stones and strop and it is... fine? for $10 i figured why not, but i found out why not. way too easy to affect the curve of the blade on fine stones, so the steel seems soft. doesnt lend itself to holding an edge well. should be fine for basswood, and maybe paring pine and fir. I worry it will break attempting white oak... One reviewer from the previous year mentioned a wax finish - mine came with no finish. I just gave it a coat of boiled linseed oil (BLO), same as my other woodworking tools. this affords good protection for the wood, while letting you maintain a good grip (really feeling the wood grain bite into your hand) for control. I have big palms and long fingers, and the handle on this suits me well.

Heck of a buy for 10 bucks.
Sweet little knife. Blade came sharper than Satanโs tongue. Handle was as comfortable as a down sleeping bag on a cold winterโs night. The blade makes quick work of excess wood but stay away from the point. If youโre not careful, Itโll bite cha. Great addition to my starting collection. Try it, I think youโll like it. Just started whittling. Looking forward to the journey. As always, keep on makin shavins.

Good knife.
The knife was sharp and it seems like good quality. The handle felt good in my adult woman hand. I used it in a class for 8yr old cub-scouts and they had no trouble holding and using it. (We whittled little bear figures.)

Good Value
An excellent choice for a beginner. Already sharp and easy to hold. Also makes an excellent back up or handy spare

Does a good job, nice and sharp
This is my first whittling knife, so I'm no expert. But the quality of this knife appears to be good and I'm happy with the purchase.

Comfortable, sharp, durable, and useful
Blade is sharp and durable. It has been very useful for general wood carving, but also for helping with details on smaller, more intricate work. I am now trying to make a scabbard and belt holster for it.
