Nikon 16-35mm f4G ED AF-S VR Nikkor Lens

I bought this lens to be able photograph or video in close proximity while working events, or scenery where there is not enough distance to use my 24-120MM lens. It definitely took care of that problem! It also seems just a little more responsive in autofocus mode. I was concerned that it would have too much of a "fish eye" effect at 16MM, but that seems to be very well corrected. Also, I am very pleased with sharpness and depth of field. This lens is good enough for profession use, and priced for someone who is cost conscious.

A professional photographer, I used this lens on the next realty job I shot. It produced a nice sharp image edge to edge at f10 for each room I shot. The images actually look much better than I expected. The auto focus was not slow, was not loud, and, although the lens is larger than what I had been using the image quality more than makes up for that. I am very happy with it and will continue using it for my work. I’d recommend it to anyone needing, a competitively priced, excellent quality lens.

Really glad I purchased lens. Shipped from Japan but got here pretty fast. The lens is very sharp and really adds to my arsenal of solid equipment. Lens is used but works and looks as if it’s brand new. Very appreciative to the sellers.

You can take great pictures with it

Ive been using this lens for a month or so now and I still love it just as much as the day i received it. Amazingly sharp photo quality and no drop off on the edges. I did my homework before purchasing and I am happy i went with this lens over the 14-24mm. I love the fact that it takes 77mm filters which are pretty easy to find as well.

As another reviewer noted, I suspect it may have been an open box or demo/show lens. It was a US Market Lens, it included all parts/accy/etc, but the the box was very scuffed up and the lens rubber was chalky. Or it may have just been some very old stock that they were trying to move, as at the time it was over $200 cheaper than the other "Amazon's Choice" Nikon 16-35 F/4 VR listing. Regardless I found the lens have very bad distortion on the low end (although mostly correctable in pp), this plus the packaging issues and possibility of being open box I opted to return it.

A little pricey but never the less, an excellent lens.
