Canary Secure Mount for Canary Flex - Black

I have a bunch of different smart cameras and wired cameras. This review is based on the mount AND not the Flex itself (which I like quite a bit). The packaging is in keeping with other products of its caliber and typical of canary packaging. Sleek and applesque. The mount is simple or install (took 3 min, two of which was to find my drill and drill bit). Comes with two screws and two dry wall anchors. If drilling into concrete/stucco, you can try these anchors or get specific masonary anchors. I installed mine on wood. Comes with tool key for both the mount and the flex (same). Push button release allows device placement tuning. Also, like the fact that one hole is fixed and the second hole for the mount is adjustable to allow for fine tuning for the mount itself. Quality is on par with canary's products.....feels robust. Some other outdoor cameras we have had a plastic casing which makes them seem flimsier. I have only used the flex with the mount for a few days but seems to be working very well. Just make sure to check your wifi signal strength before choosing position. Great product!!!

The Canary Flex comes with a really cool magnetic base that you can set on a surface or mount on a wall. But I went ahead and got the Secure Mount because it’s more secure—you can screw the Canary Flex into it. Both types of bases have swivel feature so you can angle the camera however you need to. The wireless feature on the Canary Flex is perfect for my use (away from the house and electric outlets). The app alerts me when battery is getting low so I can bring in for a quick and easy. Even though it screws in to the secure mount it comes with its own hex wrench for unscrewing to take inside, which is pretty easy. The device, this extra mount and the subscription are worth every penny. The quality and all of the features and controls (the app is awesome!!) are even more than I hoped for. I love that all of it is constantly accessible on my phone. I have it mounted on a tree in my front yard with the secure mount. (see pictures) No one will notice it there—but I will see everything! I'm going to get another to stick it on the back of the house to know if my children are headed out toward the barns or farm machinery areas where I don’t want them playing. Also, to know why my dog is barking at night, etc. I live out in the country and need to be able to monitor my property for trespassers, escaped livestock, package delivery, and every other reason you’d have for wanting to know what’s going on while you’re away or asleep.

It’s the original product in the original box from Canary. Works as described. Kinda pricey though .. but no real other choice if you want to install your Flex outdoor where an intruder or bad weather would take it off easily

Really like the security of this mount. It also has a great angle so that you can keep your Canary up high and angle it down low to avoid people from tampering with it. Easy to install as well! Seems very durable as well has been outside for a few months now in wet conditions and you can’t even tell
