the quality is better than I expected, and the case is also a nice one. several pieces fell down to the floor and no damage was found in any of them. It is my pleasure to recommend this product to all chess lovers, especially for children who want to play chess!

The pieces and the traditional Chinese characters on them are exactly like the ones I've seen in China. The wooden pieces feel very nice and has a pleasant aroma to them. The case makes it very easy to store and carry around. The leather has OK quality and has a cool-looking print on the front. The board is correct, though the material feels cheap. It's hard to notice once you start playing, so this is not necessarily a downside.

The pieces in this set are exceptional. They are made of a nice sturdy wood, with appealing wood grains. The characters are carved in (most likely with a CNC machine, but very nice quality and very legible.) and have a great size to them for playing. If you are using a hard surface, the sound of the pieces are also quite nice. The outer casing has a good leather cover, with a pleasant design. The locks on the case are very easy to use and align well, but are slightly loose. The main issue with this product is the quality of the board that is put inside the case. The ink was already worn off in certain areas and some of the edges of the board didn't quite lay flush with the edge of the case leading to some raised parts in the corners or right up against the edge, nothing that caused issues when using it for play however. The worst thing about the product is barcode sticker that is placed on the front of the case, covering a portion of the design. It is rather difficult to remove without damaging part of the leather unless you're very careful. Overall this product is a very good deal for the price, even if just for the pieces. I would definitely recommend for anyone just getting into the game, would like a nice set to travel with, or simply would like some wonderful pieces.

Nice thick solid wood pieces but I must say the literature that came with it could do better. As for the leather, its as expected for PU Leather. At least it doesn't smell unlike other leather products.

I’ve bought many Chinese boards and this is my favorite. Easy to open and close. Well made.

Great product , the pieces are big and feel good in hand. Also it makes a nice sound on the board (that is clearly part of the game when you launch a big offensive :-)) highly recommend if you like playing co tuong !

the pieces are intricate and beautiful, the leather case is nice, a great set if it would've been complete and had not been damaged with melted plastic, it took us 4 times to order different sets and we finally received one that had all the pieces and was not damaged. It is a great set and my son loves it, just wish we didn't have to go through all the trouble to get one that was complete.

This is as expected—a quality Chinese chess set suitable for gifting, travel and easy to fold up and put away when needed. Seller sent additional pieces upon request immediately. Would buy again.
