Is this available in a smaller container? i have a 4oz jar of this exact cream that i bought in vermont and wish i’d gotten more fo gifts!

If you changed your packaging, why not change the picture to accurately show what the consumer is getting, so we can decide if we want it?

I cannot answer for the company, but what you see in the picture is what I received, but plastic.

Does the cheaper plastic container change the taste??

I got the glass container of this maple cream. I will tell you we have bought maple cream in New York State in both plastic and glass containers and there was no difference in the taste. I think it’s just a matter of personal preference.

How is this different from "maple butter" ?

Maple cream is nothing but pure maple and maple butter is a mixture of butter and maple. About half maple and half butter. I hope this helps.
