This jar bottle opener is so easy to use. I have arthritis in my hands and wrist and had been using one. I bought four years earlier This product is so much easier to use than my old one. Would definitely recommend it for anyone with impaired wrist or hand movement!! It’s easy to grip, because of the design it handles all size of jars or bottles. Very pleased will definitely buy a second one.

I bought this mostly to get the caps off bottled water and other drinks, to relieve the pressure on my thumbs. At first I was ready to toss it because I couldn't get it to grip and twist off the cap. And then I realized I was turning it the wrong way, even though it seemed right! When I turned it the right way, the cap came right off no matter how tightly it was on. It's especially useful because caps on bottles come in all sizes and this will work on all of them. I can't even imagine how or why I never bought this years ago. My recommendation is to save your thumbs and buy one of these!!

I bought a few bottle/jar openers and this is my absolute favorite! I mostly use for water bottles and other liquid bottles. So quick and easy on my hands/fingers. Very ergonomic, light and small. I might buy another to keep on the go in car.

Arthritic hands that just don’t grip those water bottles, this is a must have & have extra for traveling. I leave one in my walker bag, one at my son’s house! They are for water bottles and I use them for qt half & half bottles and my yoghurt drinks. I used to get so frustrated when I had to wait around for someone else to open my drinks. Best gadget I ever bought !

This opener would be enhanced were it available in a transparent version. We use it for opening plastic flavored water bottles which are thin enough to leak the liquid out of the top of the bottle if you're even if you're holding it very gently while turning the opener or the bottle itself. A different brand of drink that comes in a thicker bottle is of course more expensive, but the opener works reliably and more consistently. Transparency would ensure that the opener remained level on the cap, another possible source of leaking. This opener justifies its billing for weak hands & Seniors with arthritis. This opener is easily seen, safe to use, and easily located. Caveat: this review is limited to one type of bottle. My observations may be skewed by my Essential Tremor.

This little gadget is great for opening smaller bottles and jars. It is so simple for my aunt, who has dementia, to handle and successfully open her own bottles. She no longer has to come and ask me to open it for her! I know it sounds funny but it gave her a bit of independence back. And when you're loosing your whole world, a little independence can go a long, long way. Worth every cent! :)

I was looking for something to help my wife open her daily protein water, especially when I am not available. These things are a bear for me to open even with full hand strength, so she has no chance with her grip issues and tremors. I checked a lot of openers, both hand-held and under-cabinet mount. Most of the hand-held are massive and expensive, which is great if you are opening a giant jar of pickles but not real helpful for sports drink sized caps. When I saw this little gem I was a bit skeptical since it was small and has a plastic handle. Something told me to give it a try. When I received it an opened the package I was pleasantly surprised that the plastic handle is really stout (not hollow, possibly melamine) and feels good in the hand. I tried it out first, seemed to be quite a bit easier to open a bottle. Let my wife know it was in the fridge with her drinks, waited for feedback. Several days later she held it up for me to see and proclaimed it was fantastic. I watched her use it and it only took moderate strength to crack the lid open, haven't had to help her since. Happy wife, happy life! Liked it so much I just ordered a second one for my mother. Might even get one for my desk at work, for the occasional vending machine visit.

I was skeptical of this item after wasting money on a boxed set of fancier type openers. But I have used this opener on larger jars such as pickled beets with easy success. No fussy knobs or clamps to adjust, just a simple leveraged gripper. It is not flimsy, it is made of a sturdy, heavier type of plastic sort of like melamine. Anyone who can break this should probably upscale to the metal version. For me, it's just fine and surely is better than trying to break the vacuum seal by bashing the jar lid on the countertop! Am so pleased with this item I gave it its own place to hang on the wall by the sink.

Compré este producto para mi madre porque tiene problemas de artritis, al principio funcionó bien pero se rompió con el uso normal. Ella se decepcionó mucho. Voy a comprar otro de mejor calidad.

I wasn’t expecting it to be so effective. Probably the best bottle-opening device I’ve ever used. Seems to work on any twisting lid that has those little vertical ridges/grooves. Would buy again as a gift.

This works AMAZING on any size bottle especially good for the hard to open fruit juice bottles.
