Will this hold 16 oz of spinach?

I always buy a large bag of Spinach for this container (usually 9 to 10oz) bags from HEB. I have not bought the large container of Spinach and try to place in it. I also place a folded paper towel under my bin basket ; and place a sheet on top of spinach to absorb moisture also. Nice size container to get vegetables out of a bag; but the TOP just closes and I really prefer a SNAP TOP Container!!

Airtight? Could be used in pantry for dry goods?

It is not airtight. The cover just sits on top plus it has a vent you can open on the top. I wouldn't suggest it for dry goods. It works really well for spring mix lettuce though!
