The non-PoE model is silent, but the PoE model does have fans.

Can i connect to the switch from my nighthawk x10-ad7200 r9000 router using the one of the 10g sfp+ ports on the switch?

Your router can only handle 1GB throughput so the 10GB won't provide anything extra other than giving you 8 ports to use for your network and using the SFP port for the WAN connection. If you wish to use the SFP with a RJ45 connection, you will need to purchase Fibermall SFP-GE-TS-HPA . I have purchased these and tested to work with that switch.

Product died after 37 days

Product died after 37 days … no support because of no return policy after 30 days. All lights solid green after trying to do a reset. Doesn’t boot. No way to telnet into it or any other way.
