Great light blocking window solution.
Worked perfectly. Clung to the windows with just a spray of water underneath. Super simple to apply. Easy to trim to size. No light is visible through the film. Perfect solution for babies who need to nap or privacy from nosey neighbors. The black was pure black with a texture to make it thick and light proof.

Great Privacy Solution
This to cover my bedroom window, and it worked really well. It was easy to apply, gives me the privacy I wanted, and still lets in natural light. It looks nice and has stayed in place without any issues. Iโm happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Good fix, but itโs not perfect
This works well enough. Applied it to a 20โx 20โ square, east-facing, bedroom window. It was impossible to sleep in there beyond sunrise even with a shade. That window also works as a dang radiator; that room is always hotter than others. The film can be a little finicky during application; it slips and slides if youโre not careful, but it gets the job done. Unfortunately, I was unable to cut off the excess along the edges because I donโt have a tool sharp enough to do so. It needs to be Xacto-knife sharp. All of our box cutters and such are far too dull. The film just slides around when attempting to cut it. So I just left it. Aside from that, Iโm pleased. Itโll be hidden behind the shade anyway. It truly is 100% blackout as long as you manage to cover every square inch of the window. Any and all gaps, no matter how small, will be very noticeable though so keep that in mind if you donโt plan on covering the window with an additional curtain or shade. It certainly makes the room cooler and much easier to sleep in. Great, budget-friendly fix.

I love this stuff.
I have used several brands of window film, this one is my favorite, it's thicker and easier to work with that others. I didn't know black out film came in white, but I bought 4 rolls and I'm thrilled! It works! No light comes through and I'm hoping it will prove to be slightly cooler since it isn't absorbing heat like the black film. My only gripe has nothing to do with the product, but do to the light colour, you can see the air bubbles much more from the outside if you fail to do a good job.

Blocks 100% of Light
Blocks 100% of light. I wanted to blackout my bedroom, but had a transparent glass door. Put this on the door and now the room is perfectly dark. Easy to apply, good quality.

doesnโt work well it falls off
it doesnโt cling for a well. Iโve used this type of film before and this is just lower quality. I did end up taping it as it kept falling off, and I followed the instructions to the T

Don't forget the soapy water to get it to stick! And putting it up on hot days works better.
I originally bought the black one because the white one didn't exist (2018) and I had to write a review asking to have a white one made because white repels heat better than black (white reflects light). The stuff from 2018 really stuck to the window and I didn't have to adjust it in the slightest bit. So I then bought the white one after a number of years (2024) but I was so busy that I didn't get to install it until this week. With that I wanted to share a few tricks to get it to stick: - The soapy water trick really does work. 2-3 drops of normal soap in a spray bottle and it really sticks. Not sure about Windex which typically doesn't have soap but alcohol and ammonia. The soap dries on the window surface and adheres to the plastic. Then it doesn't budge. Not sure if the lower rated ones failed to spray with soapy water or not Manufacturer says to use soapy water. - If it's gong to be a hot day it tends to work better than a cool/cold day. This is because the water from the soapy water evaporates faster and thus the soap from the water makes it stay in place really well. I had hell trying to get it to stick on colder days. The windows in my tiny apartment can melt the adhesive on duct tape, which is likely why it adhered well. Not sure if a hair dryer would help or hinder. Maybe low? Be careful of melting the plastic though. - On windows that DO NOT move, it's better to cut it a little larger than the window if you want to really block out all of the light. On windows that do move, I read that electrical tape works... I tried that and it kinda does, but as I said, the adhesive on tape tends to melt on these windows. (They are not double insulated or anything. They are single pane windows.) In the end it worked well for my steamy top floor apartment and has not peeled. It did cool my apartment like I wanted. I used the white frosted version to let in natural light on some of the top windows.

Not what I expected unsatisfied customer
First of all, this is not an easy product to put up on my windows. I explained the type of windows I have an oven shape window in the middle and two side windows. I explained why I wanted this and asked what I can get to cover my windows from inside the house not outside the house. This is so no light and no one can see inside. I have cut the product so I know I cannot return it, which is unfair because it doesnโt do what I needed it to do and it doesnโt stick properly and I wanted a product that I could use multiple times this is barely enough to fit the window that I measured so Iโm not happy with the product so I give it zero stars I have to give one star in order to give this review

Fab blackout
I put this up in my room and my toddlers room. Mine has been up almost 2 years, and other than peeling back a bit at the corners, it's stayed up very well. In my toddlers room I took it down at winter and put it back up once the days got longer again and there were no issues with it staying up, it was like new, really pleased.
