Tamicy 60 Pcs Clip-on Ferrite Ring Core RFI EMI Noise Suppressor Cable Clip

Almost anyone should have a bag of these noise reduction devices if they have more than one electronic device around. Clamp one around the power cord of the device causing interference and voila! No more interference. Well, sometimes it works that way. The thing about RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) is that it is sneaky and can get out of its container in lots of different ways, not just the power cord. It usually takes a bit more effort to suppress it than that. But if the RFI emitter was otherwise well designed, than the power cord fix will sometimes help. Sometimes putting the device into a metal container with a tight fitting lid (or its equivalent, also known as a Faraday cage) might be the only way to get the noise suppressed but only if the container is well grounded. The funny thing is that this container could absorb the RFI within it and re-radiate it from the outside depending on a lot of conditions. So , to sum up, these ferrites might work, and if they don't, well, they're cheap so you haven't lost much.

Great value, Work as one would hope, reduced/elliminated RF, easy installation

I have gone through several orders of these. Wish they would come with a data sheet of what the actual mix is in the ferrite core. They do make a difference. I use them all over the place in my shack.

This review is for the Phono Stage Analog Audio enthusiast. I bought these with some skepticism but thought “what the heck”. [My System] I have an all tube analog playback system: A VPI Scoutmaster Turntable, Sumiko EVOIII Bluepoint Special High Output 2.5mV cartridge, Ming Da MC767-RD Phono Pre Amp, Pangea Audio Premier XL Phono Turntable Cable with built in ferrite rings on each end and grounding wire, Antique Sound Labs (ASL) AQ 2001 DT Pre Amp, Mogami’s top RCA interconnects throughout and a pair of ASL Hurricane DT Mono Block Power Amps with 8 KT88s in each amp. [The Problem] As you already know, eliminating phono stage ground loop and RF Interference from any system can be a frustrating task, even after attaching the perfunctory ground cable from turntable to amp/pre-amp. Before clamping these ferrite clips on I kept getting the usual annoying electrical hum, faint background FM radio station interference and the dreaded/annoying CB Radio operator chatter (and the vile unlicensed discourse that comes with it). This was the case even after having a renowned high end audio tech make extensive grounding circuitry modifications on my Ming Da. [Methodology] I clipped a ferrite ring to each end of the grounding wire (2), each end of the left RCA and right RCA cables going into the phono preamp (4) and each end of the left RCA and right RCA cables going out of the phono preamp (4) and one on each end of the RCAs out of the ASL Pre Amp to the Mono Blocks Power Amps (4) for a total of 14 ferrite rings. [Outcome] To my pleasant surprise, when I turned everything back on, all the aforementioned noises above were gone! Even when I cranked the ASL Preamp gain full tilt, the radio stations (CB and FM) were nowhere to be heard, even faintly. The electrical ground buzz was gone, too. All I heard, and only at super high ridiculous volumes (that I would never use in real life) was the noise from the phono preamp which is to be expected due to the inherent burden of MC/MM amplification. At normal listening levels my noise floor is so scarcely audible it’s basically gone, even before I drop the needle. [Conclusion] To my fellow analogue/vinyl enthusiasts fighting the ground loop/RF monster, I say buy these things. I never write reviews but this one was a must. Happy Listening!

I was having static issue on my Jeep's radio after installing some lower-cost headlights. Evidently, it's a thing. Regardless, I popped a couple of these on each of the power leads to the headlights and it has helped some. It decreased the static noise on most stations, but not all. I may need to add a couple more. Regardless, these are super easy to install once you figure out which size you need to use. They fit around cables well and with a variety of sizes on this pack, I should be able to use them in a variety of applications. They feel weighty in the hand, so I imagine they should be durable enough to withstand normal wear-and-tear. I know the real solution to my problem is to get better headlights. That's the ultimate goal/solution but for now, these ferrite rings get 5/5 Stars from me. Let me know if any questions!

So sweet! Hit the spot. I needed some common mode isolation in my ham shack. a few of these hit the spot! The little ones are great on your mic cords or audio cords. The big mid size and big ones are great for power wires or even up to about RG-8 (barely)

Satisfactory for reducing domestic stray RFI...adequate light usage. Sometimes an electical tape wrapping needed to keep a loose ferrite clip tight. Thank you.
