Great carrier!
This carrier worked great for us and the seller promptly answered all my questions when I asked on Amazon. I have a 13lb schnauzer/yorkie mix (I think he is about 16" long). He fit great, plenty of room to turn around. I bought the large to make sure it was roomy enough and it fit under the middle seat on American Airlines. No one questioned the size. I loved that it could squish under the seat but he still had room to move. It did take up the whole under seat area. We had him below our 3 year old.I got this because it said it was scratch resistant. My dog scratched at it multiple times and it did not show wear. I did put him in it before the trip so he could get used to it and I'm glad I did as I learned a couple things. 1) close both zippers at the top. My dog was able to get it open by scratching if the zippers were closer to the bottom, but we had no problems with them on top. 2) if you have a runner, use the inside leash. Luckily we were at home when we learned he could escape. We used the leash though and it definitely slowed him down. We had no problems in the airport or on the flight.Cons: no outside pocket. Would have been nice. But it definitely was breathable which was greatly appreciated in Phoenix at the end of May, so the lack of pocket wasn't a deal breaker. Also I would have liked a strap specifically to put on luggage to make it easier to carry everything. There are straps you can wrap around the luggage handle, but he stood up once and moved and the carrier fell off. If they stay laying down, it was fine. Or just carry on your shoulder.Overall great carrier and I definitely recommend it!

Two thumbs up for the Petego medium carrier for my 11-12 lb pup
This is a beautiful, well made, sturdy carrier. I originally purchased the large based on some of the reviews but felt like it was too bulky for me to carry underarm. My 11 - 12 lb Shi Tzu/Poodle/Chihuahua mix fit nicely in the medium but I think he preferred the roominess of the large. We flew Southwest using the medium. It fit nicely under the seat (I collapsed the framing) and was easy to slip out onto an empty middle seat. I believe the large would have fit under there as well, particularly since you can collapse the framing. I also purchased the Lubber carrier which I returned due to the poorer quality. There was separation of the webbing from the fabric. It was light and easy to carry but offered little support for the size of my fur baby.

To long. It's not solid. Has two wire brackets holding shape. I wanted it for my motorcycle but it's to long, and not as safe as others. Other wise, it's light to carry for use when needed. The flaps for air when open are bulky.

Great bag - my doggy loved it!
I purchased the large size and my sweet baby loved her bag so much - in fact, she wouldn’t come out of it at security (usually she listens to me, but she felt so cozy and safe in it that it took a treat to coax her out! 🙄). In full disclosure the photo I attached of her under the seat is from a first class seat assignment (and the bag technically measured larger than the space), but it fit perfectly fine - the bag is outfitted with two metal bars which are folded inward on the floor of the bag, and can be pulled up and outward in order to give the sides of the bag more structure, but I wanted the ability to easily put the bag into a space which was slightly smaller than the bag dimensions, so i left the metal bars folded inward and placed a small folded blanket on the floor of the bag to make sure the floor was comfy, which it certainly was for her. The material of the bag is sturdy enough that it keeps its shape (without using the metal bars) but is malleable enough that you can place it into a space smaller than its dimensions, making it a reliable bag for various seat dimension specs. The only reason I gave 4 stars for value is because the shoulder strap is kind of awkward (was hard to keep the bag in the same longitudinal position in which one would normally carry a duffel bag), so it was easier to hold by the handle (though a more functional shoulder strap would easily get me to 5 stars). I’ll definitely be using this bag on all future flights.

Med is way too small for my 14lb dogs. Interior bar collapses, won't stay up.
After checking both Amazon and the Petego website for size, I ordered a medium to assure it would be big enough. Weight limit for size Small was listed as 13-15 lbs, my dogs are 14lb English Toy Spaniel. I figured I'd size up to make sure it was big enough and to allow a little room for long car trips. There is no way that a medium is big enough for a 14 lb dog. According to the measurements, it should have worked.Next, my purchase was through Amazon Warehouse deals. I'm not sure if the problem is a defect, or a problem with the product. The frame bars were difficult to pull into place, and one of the bars would not stay in place even when held down with the little velcro pieces on the intererior.Since the frame at one end wasn't working properly, the slightest pressure to the top of the carrier allowed one end to collapse.Disappointed because I'd seen this product rated as a top contender in crash tests. Not sure if I should reorder in a larger size, perhaps direct from the company for better assurance that it's not a defective/flawed product. I will definitely be returning the item I received since the medium is way too small for a 14lb dog, and the frame at one end definitely does not work. My 8lb dog fits in the medium, but she doesn't travel with us.I'm still giving the product 3 stars because it apears to be well made, I'm not sure if the frame problem is due to defective product pruchased through Warehouse deals. It would be nice if there was more info/recommendations/examples of which size would most likely be best for various breeds
