Decent boot for broken toe/foot
Did something stupid and dropped a battery on the top of my foot. My toe took the brunt of the impact. But it's awkward placement. It's weight bearing and a pivot point. This boot has helped so much. I wear a women's size 8 and there is plenty of room in this with the compression wrap on my foot. There is a little wiggle room towards the toes and some play in the heel. Depending on the day, it doesn't bother me, but some days it can rub a little. I found no issues with adjusting the Velcro to get a snug fit. It doesn't rub the top of my foot. The sole is thick! It absorbs a lot of impact and doesn't translate to the actual foot. I like this being smaller than my last boot that ran up to my knee. This doesn't make my foot sweat a ton either. Overall a really good boot.

BraceAbility Closed Toe Medical Walking Shoe
Like many of the people here, I ended up having to buy a medical boot to allow my foot to heal from an injury. In my case, I broke my pinkie toe. For a month, I thought I could make due on my own without buying any special equipment. I taped it, I babied it, I hobbled around in my winter boots...all was going well until I refractured it. After THAT happened, my husband convinced me to get a proper medical boot. I didn't want one of those big and clunky things that go half way up your calf, so I went searching on Amazon. This bootie was the perfect compromise. This medical bootie is SO easy to put on and wear. It opens completely up, allowing you to put on the bootie without any additional pressure on your injury. The various velcro straps made the bootie very secure on my foot. The size Medium was perfect for my size 7.5 foot. I also tried the small, but my foot was pushing out the front. I did have to borrow one of my husband's thick winter socks to wear inside the boot so my foot didn't twist or slosh in the boot..it kind of helped fill in the space. I could tighten the straps down but my toe was not having the extra pressure, so this was my work around. It is fairly lightweight but protective of the foot. I've accidentally stubbed my foot a few times while wearing this and it definitely protected my foot from any reinjury. I've spent 2 months wearing this bootie.... I went from hobbling around on my heel in it, to finally being able to put some occasionally pressure down, and now I can "walk" while wearing it. This has been a godsend after the refracture, and I wish I had gotten it when I first broke my toe. I've worn it in the rain and in the cold. I've even accidentally fallen asleep while wearing it, and it was still comfortable. It does best on smooth and flat pavement, but I've taken it out for a spin on grassy hills and my backyard. I've been using a cane to help with stability when out in public or getting in/out of my vehicle. I've finally gotten more mobility back and think I'll be out of the bootie fairly soon. I wanted to wait a fair bit before I wrote my review, to make sure it actually helped my injury, but I've been very satisfied with it since I bought it. I've put it through it's paces the past 2 months and it's still holding up fine. Highly HIGHLY recommend to anyone with a toe injury or foot injury. Skip the big bulky boot and get this one instead.

Awesome boot! Does its job very well!
I really wanted to give it 5 stars but I ordered a second boot about 10 days after the first, same size, I duplicated the order. The new boot was different, it fit different. And it opened the opposite direction as the other boot. There’s no left or right option so what gives? A few final thoughts: it’s actually quite comfortable. Had I not found it I’m not sure I would have ever used anything at all. The one the doctor gave me was about as useless as they come. This boot makes it easy to get in and out of and therefore keeps me using it. The sizing is odd. The boot says I should be a large but I’m an established 11.5 and this boot is still a little loose. So I’d say it runs large. The boot is super durable. I’ve spread yards and yards of gravel and spent the last two days walking on a roof and climbing a ladder. The boot has served its purpose fully. I’m not out running a marathon but I’m sure not sitting around feeling bad for myself either. When I go out where there will be a lot of people I wear another sock and then wrap it lightly in Coban. It helps me fill out the boot a bit more thereby securing my foot in the boot. Less of a tripping hazard and less chance of the foot moving around when it gets bumped or stepped on. The boot really is a life changer. P.s. boot maker people, maybe make a super duper high end version that laces up and offers a bit more protection but maintains the rigidity for healing. Think of it as work/public vs. running to the mailbox. I’d pay for that immediately. $2/day for 6 weeks? Worth it!

STURDY COMFORTABLE EASY
I only write reviews when I know for sure someone else can benefit from it. Weather its bad or good I try to pass it on. I got a sesamoid fracture last year . Went to the foot doctor and paid for this fancy boot that costed 90$ and it basically felt like a cast kept me immobile. I walk on treadmill everyday and I was getting sooo depressed I couldnt stand it. So I laid off my foot and did contrast soaks for 6 months straight as per instructed. Slowly it did come back (the pain) not as bad but I was afraid that whatever healin it got was going to mutilated by me working out. If im not working out Im not happy. So I researched and researched for weeks. I narrowed it down to this boot and a few others , finally just picking this on the risk of the bad reviews not having me to excited on what it would offer me. I put it on and did my first walk on treadmill for about 30 minutes. It was an adjustment but minor. I have been walking on the treadmill for 2 weeks and wearing this as a shoe for 45 minutes at a time, everyday. This boot has held up. Is it keeping my toe in place as it should maybe not completley because after 2 weeks it bends a bit more. But it keeps the majority of my weight off my toe. NO PAIN! Shoe hasnt broke, not even the slighted tread has come off. Velcro in place still easily adjustable. So there it is. Its bascially my second shoe. I cant believe it actually. I literally wasnt even on amazon. I got off the treadmill to write this review because Im absolutley impressed. Highly recommend!

Decent quality, soft on foot, very light weight
Just arrived, decent quality (not meant to last a long time). Broken foot bone. It's working well to protect and feel secure. Would buy again

Great solution, wish durability was a little better
Works great for what I needed, but less than a month in and the sole is starting to separate from the rest of the shoe. Has worked great up til this.

Comfortable
Great. Ez light flat doesn’t take much time to put on. Basic comfortable it’s not a boot but it’s like a half comfy slipper it does the job keeps my foot flat and haven’t had much swelling. Consider it a medical flip flop with short ankle support. 5th metatarsal fracture and it’s feels good to walk in. Much much better than the SURFBOARD PLANK MY DR GAVE ME .just get one for the price it’s a STEAL!

the boot does work, but watch for the size
I have a broken middle toe and some other bone in my foot. Because it's on my right driving foot I was not going to the Dr's. I am self fixing. First off, I have no idea how the cross straps are suppose to work. (straps around the ankle) They are way too long and only 1 strap has the velcro sticky side. I looked at all of the videos and directions but they all leave that left strap viewing out. It's made out to look like you just cross them over but that's not the case. ( I had to loop the one strap back under the center loop and fold it under and then pull the other velcro strap across and attach) This is why I marked down 1 star. With that said this boot is amazing. As soon as I put it on, the pain of walking went way down. My foot was able to start healing without all that painful taping. I wore it everyday in the house. I am a 8.5 to 9 shoe size and with only wearing a sock the boot fit perfectly. If you are over a 9 shoe and you can't have your toe touching anything or have any pressure on it then I would recommend going up a size. I do not think this would fit a 10.5 size as stated. (my opinion)
