What torx is the most this will break loss ?

Portable ratchets like this are not meant for breaking torque. You really should break torque with a normal ratchet or breaker bar.

does the large battery get in the way when doing automotive work?

Bought this for my husband and he says the battery doesn’t bother him at all and he does lots of automotive work on farm equipment.
