Perfect for Intuos 2 Lovers
This is the perfect tablet for anyone who truly misses the old feel of Wacom products or a beginner that doesn't want to go all in on an Wacom Intuos Tablet. Lets start with the price, this little Deco 1 is a steal at 60 dollars. I feels great, the build quality is nice, the finishes are spot on. The drivers where super easy to install and the little guy worked right away. No messing around with settings or anything. I have only two complaints about the tablet as a whole. 1 - the pen is thin. I use it for long periods of time and holding a pen this thin gets tiring quick. If I was to by again I'd bump my budget up a few dollars and get the Deco 3 (the pen looks way more choice). 2 - every now and then the pen will "squeek" on the tablet. It took almost a month for me to notice because I'm always listening to music while I work. Not a big deal at all, but my wacom never did that.First time tablet buyers can stop here, this next bit is for Long time Wacom users or keep reading, I can't stop you...If you're like me and have been using Wacom tablets since the Intuos 2 and have been getting more and more frustrated with wacom products, here is your answer! This little guy feels exactly my Intuos 2 running on Windows XP. No fancy nonsense, no ripples, no keyboard pop ups, no hand writing pop ups, no ridiculous key mapping slider bar wheel button whatevers, no press and hold right click menus you never asked for, no messing with ten thousand hidden settings before you start working. Just a straight up tablet that works great out of the box!! I was blown away by it. I fully expected a piece of junk, but instead I was instantly thrown back in time to my first wacom tablet experience and I was in love!!! Also, it's literally an 1/8 the price for an Intuos pro of the same size, AN 1/8!!!!! I don't think I'll ever go back to Wacom after finding this gem. 10/10, would eight of these before buying a new Wacom tablet.

Awesome starter Tablet.
Loved this drawing tablet. I looked at many different options and finally decided on the Deco 01. I was not disappointed! First, as silly as it might seem, I really enjoyed the design on the box and packaging. Inside there's the USB cable (right angle so it sits on the side of the tablet nicely and out of the way) the tablet itself, a pen, and a base filled with extra nibs. After a very easy install the tablet works flawlessly. No input lag, straight lines with zero stutter. The only kind of "setup" I needed to do was assign keys to the eight hotkeys on the side. I use medibang to draw and just setup the hotkeys to be commonly used keys like "undo" and "zoom in/out." The pressure sensitivity is great. You can adjust to it to you likings in setup but the default setting felt pretty good to me. I never felt like I needed to slam down to get the full pressure/stroke. The most important thing is this tablet just looks darn good on your desk. It's sleek, slim (low profile) and the "edge/corner" markers make it easy to know where your pen is at all times. If you're looking for a good, low budget graphic tablet to get you started into the digital domain than this is your tablet. And at $50 it's a steal. I didn't know much about XP-Pen before, but know I'm really looking into their screened graphic tablets too like the artist 12. Maybe I can buy myself something next Xmas!

updated: pen is non-responsive on draw pad (software compatibility)
5/2/2019 review update:was ready to ship the package back, but decided to give the product another try and use a different illustration software. the drawing pad was not responsive to Corel Painter 11, but when I resolved to use the mouse to finish my project, I realized the software itself was also a bit glitchy. that got me thinking if the non-responsiveness was also caused by the software. I downloaded Auto Desk (which is free!) and gave the drawing pad another try, and it worked perfectly.changing my review from 1 star to a 4 star, gonna keep the product now since it works. for other future (or current) buyers - your issue might be solvable with the same solution, software incompatibility.4/11/2019 review:item received plenty of high reviews with very reasonable price, as a beginner I wanted to start with something less of a financial burden. this seemed like a good product to try.based on the price, I was skeptical to what issues I would run into, since there's the golden saying "you get what you pay for". hopefully only advanced ones which wouldn't matter in my situation, as long as this drawing pad functioned the basics.the product is beautifully packaged, with many cool freebies. all that would earn a solid five if not higher review, if the product actually did what it was created to do.Pros: thin, beautifully designed drawing pad; pen comes with extra tips inside the pen holder base; also gives you a drawing glove, not sure what that does; easy to set up.Con (and you only need one): pen does not work when drawing on the draw pad. it is non-responsive.I'm not saying yours won't work if you buy this product, I'm just telling you there's a good chance you'll end up writing another one star review like I did. If you like the possible opportunity to do so, by all means.
