This padlock is a robust well made padlock and good value if manufactured in the UK If not you can buy much cheaper from a Foreign Manufacturer. However the quantity cannot be guaranteed. You don't want to be let down, as it is a security product.

Reviewed after 3 months use. I required a replacement, heavy-duty lock for an outside shed after the last “weather resistant lock” seized up due to corrosion. This brass padlock seems to resolve this problem. There are minimal signs of weathering after being subjected to heavy rain, but functionality not compromised. A little WD40 also keeps the lock clean and protected. The fit and size are as described. The he lock is easy to open and has a reassuring click when closing. However, the placement of the key hole can be problematic in tight spaces. Especially if left-handed. No signs or rust or heavy corrosion so far and is outlasting a significantly more expensive lock I used previously. Considering this lock is likely to protect your items, it is excellent value. However, for high security applications or to protect expensive items, I would look for a more robust option from Squire.

Yale is always a good name and well made this is very solid and good quality keys. If I need another I would not hesitate to buy one again.

I have used this lock for five months outdoors, and it has proved reliable so far. No sign of corrosion, and it's easy to use. I have ordered another one for the second shed.

Love this product. but in 4 months, both locks have failed. Yale has replaced them both FOC but the failures dont fill me with confidence.

Heavy and strong lock… Definitely it should last longer…

J'ai acheté ce cadenas pour mon abri de jardin. Après 10 mois d'utilisation réelle en extérieur, il fait parfaitement le job. ​Mon retour d'expérience : ​Le test de l'hiver : Il est resté dehors sur la porte de l'abri tout l'hiver. Il a subi la pluie, l'humidité et surtout le gel. Contrairement à d'autres cadenas qui se grippent très vite, celui-ci reste très fluide. ​À propos de la rouille : J'ai remarqué quelques petites traces sur le pêne (la tige), mais ce n'est pas le cadenas qui rouille ! C'est la rouille de mon attache de porte (le moraillon) qui déteint dessus. Un petit coup de doigt ou de chiffon et ça part, le laiton du cadenas, lui, reste impeccable. ​Fiabilité : Le mécanisme ne montre aucun signe de faiblesse, l'ouverture est toujours facile. ​✅ En résumé : ​Vrai laiton : Ne rouille pas, même après un hiver complet sur un abri de jardin ❄️ ​Mécanisme fiable : Toujours aussi fluide après 10 mois. ​Rapport qualité/prix : Imbattable pour sécuriser du matériel en extérieur.
