I've wanted this set since the day I heard it even exists, and I was very surprised when I saw just how big it was. My friend Toby loves LEGOS to the point he's a human LEGO encyclopedia and he helped me build this astounding 21-bag set (the NES itself went from bag 1 up to bag 7 or 8 and the TV set went from either 8 or nine throughout the rest of the set). Every element of the process had some element of fun and it took us a full day (we went to sleep at 2:00 and woke up only a few hours later at 7:00-8:00) to complete it. The entire process was worth it and even if it was a little tedious at times and it took a long time to build it, it was worth it in the end. This set makes you build EVERY element, from the NES cartridge to the tiles of the moving screen (with a unique Mario Bros piece) and the process is mostly easy. However, if you love cranking things like this because they are so satisfying, you need to crank the side of the TV slowly like a jack-in-the-box otherwise something will happen that'll damage the set. Otherwise, this was a great set and worth every bit of the $270 this massive set is priced at. This LEGO set is an authentic treasure that captures an 80's-2000's vibe better than Stranger Things to the point you're happily drowning in nostalgic satisfaction, from the soft pushing sound and slight click when you slide the cartridge into the NES and push on it inside downward to the loud clicking sound when you turn the TV knob on the right side, evoking a real TV set from the 80's. The instructions explain every piece of both parts of this set were built by LEGO engineers who read the actual blueprints to get the accuracy and I don't doubt any bit of it at all. This is a set you're going to love whether you're a nostalgic 80's fanatic or a die-hard Super Mario fan and just want a LEGO NES replica. Either way, I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone interested. You will NOT be disappointed whatsoever. Best LEGO set I've seen and owned.

I had so much fun building this lego set it had a very cool mechenisum in the TV and the NES it's self man the easter egg on the side was so cool I would give it ten stars if I could. I wanted to remember the moment I first saw the box and so I made the box into a poster if you are planin' to do the same I highly recomend. Amazon did a great job shiping it to I chose the no specal packing and it didn't have a single mark at all great job Amazon!

Personally, this was very enjoyable to build. I found it very impressive that they had all the moving picture pieces so well coordinated, and I also enjoyed that they made it compatible with the Lego Mario Bluetooth character, so that while the television was cranking through, he would make the appropriate sounds that went with what the screen was portraying. Does take a few hours to piece together, well worth it.

I have built a large amount of Legos over the past few years. It is an expensive, yet fun hobby. This is, by far, the best Lego I have ever purchased. The instructions were clear and it was enjoyable to put together. The final result is incredible and it remains on display in my home.

I searched the web high and low for this NES Lego set. It’s basically sold out all over even in the Lego website. I was skeptical due to knowing Amazon sellers sometimes sell fake items. I can confirm this is 100% a real Lego set with everything Lego having an authentic logo. It is a hard set to put together and will probably take a multiple days. It’s smaller than you’d think and looks great once put together. If you’re a collector you’ll be happy to know it came in its original box that is in perfect condition. The price was steep but still totally worth it!

Best LEGO set by far! So well worth it. Mechanics work amazing.

I was hesitant due to a few reviews that stated they were missing pieces or the box was very damaged. But this product was perfect! All pieces came with some to spare. I realize it’s not the case for everyone but I’m so glad I got this. Took a few days and one mistake halfway through the NES made me have to go back and fix it by just starting over (read carefully the instructions and double check placements!). Lots of fun and a cool piece to display! Worth the price.

As someone who grew up with Nintendo consoles I can't stop admiring this set. There's just so much accuracy in this set. All the small details are just impressive. They even replicated the little bit of resistance towards the end when you fully put in the cartridge. The controller looks awesome and the cartridge is great. Love the hidden surprise! Adding the TV is great and the play feature and the interaction with the Mario figure from the other play sets was a nice surprise as well!
