These are beautiful-beautiful glasses. Very high quality. And the case is perfect too. I don't know why some reviews criticize it... Mine came in great shape, very nice, no odor at all... Highly recommended!

I've watched a lot of review about how great the Glencairn glasses are and how they bring out the best in your whisky/whiskey. I thought it was a gimmick BUT it really does affect the smell and taste. I was really surprised when comparing these to my normal wide mouth glass. The difference in smell totally blew my mind! The biggest differences I've noticed were from Hibiki Harmony and Red Breast 12. Now I feel like one of those "experts" talking about a caramel note or crème brule or smokiness with a hint of apples lol The travel case is really nice! The total package is just classy. The bad thing is I feel like I'm missing out when I'm at a bar or restaurant that doesn't have this style of glass.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Glencairn whiskey glasses have truly transformed my whiskey-drinking experience into something extraordinary. Prior to switching to Glencairn glasses, I was using very nice but typical bourbon glasses. The heavy, solid, and good feel in your hand type of glass. The difference for me has been both at the nose and taste levels. While there will still be a bite, the burn is minimized or gone.The tapered bowl of the glass concentrates the aromas in such a way that each sip feels like a journey of discovery. The glass fits comfortably in my hand, allowing me to swirl and savor each sip of bourbon, whiskey, scotch or rye from entry level to the higher end blends and singles. I truly enjoy (almost) everything now.Cleaning them is a breeze, and they are durable enough to withstand regular use. I've used other glasses in the past, but nothing compares to the way these glasses enhance the flavors and aromas of the whiskey.If you're into whiskey, these are a must have in your collection. You might re-discover some things about whiskeys that are just sitting on your shelve or learn something new about your favorite whiskeys. I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it! This was not only a great gift but it was a practical. My husband likes to take a nice bottle of whiskey to celebrate things with the guys. Whether it's a promotion, a baby on the way, or a wedding announcement, he's able to take over a bottle and two of his favorite glasses to cheers. This isn't just 5/5, it's 10/10.

I purchased a set for travel back in early 2020. It has been on the road for a few thousand miles since then, but the great thing is the case keeps the fairly delicate glasses protected. That is the functional part. The aesthetic part is - to me - equally as valuable. This set never fails to elicit comments and compliments. As for the glasses themselves, Glencairn glasses DO make a difference when you want to enjoy a wee dram or two. A final note: the clasp and hinges on the case itself have held up with no looseness or misalignment that would have inevitably happen considering the number of times it has been opened and closed.A final note: this set is priced all over the place. I purchased mine in February 2020 for slightly less than forty bucks, and right now as I write this it's less than forty-two. I have seen it jump past fifty, and it frequently becomes unavailable. It's pricey, but it is also one of the finer things in life.

This is a very nice set. I'm not an expert but the globe/funnel combination provides a wonderful nose experience (I'm sure there is a better way to describe that). The base is solid and it feels good in your hand. The case is lovely but it is also the reason this got 4 stars instead of 5. The case is devided in half.. precisely. The problem with that is if you open it, standing up as pictured you are likely to have one or both glasses fall out and risk breaking them. The solution , of course, is to lay the case down to open it, but you don't figure that out until you open it the first time. I was lucky.. no broken glasses.

I got this as a gift for my scotch loving SO. I was impressed with how sleek and classy the case it and the glasses are well protected in there. He loves it and has taken it with us on a few trips as well as just enjoyed using it at home. It was a solid purchase and very well received.
