Vincent van Gogh: Starry Night over the Rhône (Foiled Journal) (Flame Tree Notebooks)

This is a very nice little journal. The artwork on the cover is very beautiful, and the foil accents just make it even more lovely. Van gogh is one of my favorite artists, and I love all the journals Flame Tree offers of his artwork. The journal is a nice size. It's small enough to fit in my purse, but large enough to write in comfortably. It has a book mark, and a magnetic strip to keep it closed. I plan on getting the entire collection. They would make great gifts for any art lovers in your life.

Beautiful. Perfect size and love the magnetic closer. There were a few people saying that the title is wrong because it's called starry night. Its correct. Van Gogh has the famous starry night painting with the swirls. This painting is called starry night, Arles. So just make sure you know what one you're wanting. I highly recommend.

I am really happy with this Notebook. The quality and the attention to detail is amazing. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, although they are different from the picture. The cover is hard and textured, adding to the "Painting" aesthetic of it. The inside is just as pretty, with a red paper cover in the front and the back. It also has two bookmark ribbons and even a little compartment in the back (Inside) where you can put little notes, or things. They also added a little note in the back, offering some insight into Van Gough's thoughts when he painted this.

Loved this notebook! I’m a fan of Van Gogh and wanted something I could bring into my workplace that was related to him and this notebook was perfect. I honestly expected it to just be a regular print of his painting on the cover but was surprised to see how detailed it was from the foil gold on the stars and river reflection to the detail of brush strokes on it and deep blues. Could honestly not be happier with this purchase and look forward to buying more from Flame Tree.

Beautiful notebook, is more vibrant in person than it is in the pictures. The cover is textured and the magnet closing fits perfectly. Paper quality is really good, although I suspect marker would bleed through as it isn’t extremely thick. There is space in the back to hold loose papers and a page in the front to write your name/contact info. Overall amazing notebook.

I can't believe there aren't more reviews for this journal. The pictures don't do it justice. The colors are more vivid in real life, with shining gold accents. The magnet closure fits so well that it looks like a second binding. Inside, the lines are wide-ruled for a comfortable writing experience. There are only two things that I would change about this journal: the number of pages, and paper quality. There aren't very many pages for the price you pay, and the paper feels thinner compared to other notebook brands I've used in the past, like Peter Pauper Press. Ink doesn't exactly bleed through, but it leaves a faint impression that shows through the opposite page (I write with a black Pilot Frixion erasable pen, so it's not like I'm using heavy ink). I still plan to keep this journal and enjoy it, because it's quite beautiful. I only wish the paper was of the same high quality as the cover.

Bought this to use as a cook book, love the lined paper inside. Love how it closes keeping things from falling out the sides! Also very good quality!
