Well, this one surprised me. People claim Spanish brandy is less harsh than French, umm I agree, this is mellow, with a bouquet of butterscotch, you can taste the sherry casks too. Its not an Esther Rantzen of a drink (Bottom, Rik & eddy) its actually very quafable. It is not over strong in alcohol content, but that's neither here or there.Its a nice everyday, reasonably priced brandy, that's actually pretty decent.I cant comment on anyone's opinion, or tastes but for me it's a winner at £18 a litre.

I was really pleased with this brandy, it has a really nice flavour to it, better than french brandy. I have purchased this brand a couple of times and will purchase again. Tastes great.

My original review was not so good for this; after drinking the brandy for a while, and ordering more, and more... I thought I should update it.It's terrific brandy for the price, and easily good enough to compete with the likes of St Remy XO which I also drink. The flavour is different to Remy; this one has a somewhat liquorice hit to me which is really tasty. I drink them neat mostly, warmed a little by hand heat in a large glass the way it should be. This brandy can hold its head up in good company and be chosen for its merits, not its cost. The choice between this, St Remy XO, and an Armagnac I'm drinking as I type this is only down to which flavour I'm in the mood for right now.As a mixer, you can't go wrong there either (this also gets added to cocktails, even peppercorn sauce when I cook steaks).It's a real bargain (in the best possible way) brandy!As to the plastic inner lid so many people seem to have trouble with... it's a common pouring control people. Don't break it off, it doesn't unscrew, just tilt to the correct angle, let the pourer fill and let the goodness flow.

Tried opening this tonight and although me and the wife neither have engineering degrees we still thought we’d be able to open it!After the first pour we managed about one drop of liquor and then we decided to snap the top off using nutcrackers as we had these to hand .. after a cut finger and several bits of plastic flying around the kitchen we succeeded in getting a sufficient pour into a glass.To be honest it tasted really nice and probably worth the chaos in the end!Will buy again but please either redesign the top or provide a set of industrial tools alongside the bottle.Cheers

Delivered well packaged by Amazon .This Fundador Sherry cask Brandy is made from grapes and a selection of fine wines , this particular Fundador has a has a delightfully deep amber colour and distinct flavour that is not only grapy it's smooth . Produced in Spain it's one of the best Spanish Brandies on the market .The 1litre bottles have a built in pourer so you don't lose a single drop it's also easier to measure , a tip for those who can't get it to pour is to gulp the bottle by tipping it up and down a few times to get air inside creating a smooth pour . .Suitable as a gift for a brandy drinker . Really competitively priced making it excellent value for money . I'm very happy to recommend.

Bought for my Husband, who loves Spanish Brandy. He enjoy's it with cloudy lemonade or orange juice.
