Birch Benders Pancake and Waffle Mix with Whey, Protein, 16 Oz

I've been in a calorie deficit for the last 4 months so I've been looking for high-protein foods, that are satisfying and for variety. For breakfast, I typically eat some Greek yogurt with swerve sugar substitute and Kellogg's high protein Chocolate Almond cereal. It's a great combo but sometimes a cold breakfast just isn't satisfying or great in wintertime. I tried making protein pancakes at home from scratch, but they were terrible. So I did some googling and found this brand with most recommending it based on taste. Simply put, it's easy, quick and most of all tastes great. I just bought the six pack and I will continue to eat these even when I'm no longer dieting down.

I have been an avid kodiak pancake user and was looking for Kodak pancake mix sold by singles. Instead, this pancake mix popped up. I decided to give it a chance based on price and reviews. Wow was I not disappointed! These are sweeter than kodiak pancakes and make just as many. I had to drown my pancake in syrup with kodiak but with these, I was good with a little drizzle of honey. I love that they are high in protein per serving. I have been converted. Will be buying these again!!

These are not going to have the same consistency and taste like regular pancakes so if that's what you're expecting you will be disappointed. To make them you just add water so it's really easy. I'm sure you could add milk or eggs for it to taste better but I ordered these for the macros so for me that's a no go. When cooking them you what to have your pan very hot and cook them for a short amount of time because if you cook them for long at a lower temperature they will be very hard and it will not be fun to eat them. Whenever I cook them fast at a higher temperature they come out a lot fluffier with better consistency. I think the process of cooking is very important.

Update: I have tried the product (protein pancakes) don’t buy - I think product may have been exposed to to high of temperature and has broken down the rising agent (baking soda) the pancake did not rise and were heavy, dense and chewy. This is not the first food product I have gotten from Amazon that has been suspected of improper storage that may have been exposed to extended periods of too high a temperature. I will never t be buying anything more from Amazon that can be effected by heat that is not returnable like this product. Previously wrote- I have not actually ever tried the product yet-I will update my review when I do. I like what is included in the ingredient list. But wanted to let you know the expiration date on the mix ( Protein flavor) has an expiration date of March 31, 2023. That only give TWO MONTHS to use the mix. I will probably share with others to try as I purchased multiple packages.

Great taste

These pancakes have become an easy breakfast with protein for me, though could be better. I don't like to have eggs all the time, so these are nice to have on hand though I'd prefer to avoid the sugar - but note that it's at least not too bad. My problem is with the serving size. A single serving is not enough, so the "13 servings" will go by faster than you want, so keep an eye on the price. Cooking them is easy and doesn't take too long. Just mix with water and pour into pan. After you see it bubble a little, flip it over and cook a little more. The taste isn't bad though doing a double serving means 8 grams sugar. I'll add Choczero peanut butter chips to the batter and kicks it up a notch. Depending on how much sugar you're getting the rest of the day, it's not terrible and a little treat to start the day

I really love these pancakes! It doesn’t taste like protein at all. It’s delicious, nice flavor and texture.

Fantastic pancakes! Absolute lifechanger if you're counting macros/calories but want to allow yourself a treat on the weekends. This is like cheating without cheating. They are super easy to make. I used unsweetened almond milk instead of water. I prepared one cup of the mix for two people and got almost exactly three pancakes for each. Tip: Eat it with the lakanto maple flavored syrup to make it into an all-out feast without the calories. Will absolutely buy it again!
