46cm Sd Card Extension Cable with Case fro Car GPS DVD

This cable is quite the handy thing if the SD card socket that you need to use is in a hard to reach place. So far as I was able to tell, the data quality was pretty descent. As long as the device that this is connected to does not depend on the card insert notification, this thing works great.Here is where the gotcha comes in. If the device that this is connected to depends on using the card insert notification from the SD card socket to determine if an SD card is present you may have a problem with changing the card and the device not knowing about it. This is especially true if the device is running Windows as it does some tricky things to try and improve performance. Replacing the card without without unplugging the cable will likely corrupt the newly inserted card.I learned about this the hard way and corrupted several SD cards much to my annoyance.My advice would be to not replace the card while the cable is plugged in AND the device is powered on. Replacing the card while the device is powered down AND/OR the cable is disconnected hasn't caused me any problems.If you do feel the need to replace the card while connected and the power is on, try it with a few SD cards that don't have important data on them before using it for a critical purpose.Just my two cents worth.

This was purchased for my 3D printer to allow me to place the SD slot in a more convenient location. First, it arrived without the black case. Second, this extension would reset my 3D printer whenever I inserted it into the SD slot. Third, the printer was unable to detect when an SD card was inserted into the extension or when it was removed. I also tried using this extension with my laptop and got the exact same result. I returned this item as missing parts and defective.

Not as described - no case/enclosure on end per photo and description - it's a bare-bones sdcard receiver (also, I paid half the price for Lanmu brand).

Not only does it do a great job of extending the length but takes all the beating of constantly removing cards.

It does exactly what it says.

This thing is junk!#1 you have to force it in to a new 27" iMac#2 you plug the card in and it reads, you pull the card out to read another card and it still sees the first card.#3 you have to force eject it..Waste of money
