Q: How do you use this? Do you put the oil on the beads?

Yes, put a drop of oil on the black lava stones. It will then absorb into its porous surface

Q: does the oil go on the coloured or black stones or does it not matter?

The coloured stones are smooth compared to the black (pitted) stones so the black stones seem to absorb/hold on to the scent of your essential oils. I use Orange or Neroli to one side of the turquoise stones, and Bergamot on the other side. But the smell wears off during the day which means you could use different scents on different days.

Q: Is this good quality or does it break easily?

I gave as a gift to my 19 year old niece who suffers with anxiety, she was really happy with it loved the smell and felt it did help to keep her calm and relaxed she also said she had lots of lovely compliments from friends on who pretty it was.
