assi Black Bean Sauce, Jjajang, 1.1 Pound

I want to cook jajangmyeon but one thing Im missing is the blackbean paste. Fortunately Amazon has it. After recieving it, quickly prepared my dish. Wow ! Its taste so good and authentic. Not bittery taste compared with others.Im so happy with this product. Highly recommended!

Tastes great! Gets the job done.

The product arrived safe and sound without any leaks or spills. It had plastic shrink around the lid for added protection, but the jar is glass so there is no plastic seal directly around the opening like we are used to here in the states. The price might seem high, but this is a concentrate, or a base, to sauces so it will last a long time.I bought the Assi wheat noodles and made a quick sauce, serving for one, out of this and it was delicious!!! I mixed 1 tablespoon of the paste with .5 tablespoon coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of chicken bone broth and a .5 teaspoon of pure maple syrup. Heated it all together in a small pan and poured it over the noodles. Total black bean sauce heaven!!! Think this fermented food will be a staple in my house from now on.

I ordered this based on the recommendation of the Korean Vegan cookbook. My husband has been wanting this black bean noodle recipe for years as he ate these noodles often when he lived in Korea and had been craving them for literally decades. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat them because this paste contains MSG and that gives me migraine headaches, but husband said the recipe was good with this black bean paste as a component.

The jjajang sauce is really good. It has a very rich taste. I used it to make jjajangmyeon and it turned out great. I totally recommend this to everyone.

I adore this product! At first I was hesitant because I knew you couldn't just add this paste to the noodles and be done. You actually have to pretty much assemble the required ingredients in order to achieve that yummy sauce. I am so thankful to a few of the reviewers here who shared their recipe. I tweaked and made it my own. Cooked 1 tbs of this paste with oil. Then added 3 tbs of brown sugar. 2 cups of chicken stock (I didn't have broth) and a few tsp of cornstarch to thicken it.I actually had a bunch of the already made korean ramen packets but it was the spicy SPICY version. The sauce that came with it tasted nothing like the black-bean sauce I had come to love. It was just way too hot for me. So I made this sauce and added it to the ramen noodles instead along with cubed potatoes and it was the yummiest meal! Much better than the other premade packets you can buy.Don't be afraid of this paste. If I can make it, you def can!

Jar arrived well-packed in paper and hefty bubble wrap. Everything was intact. Jar was still safety sealed. Product wasn't expired. Cooked with it the same day it arrived and it's delicious. Will order it from here again in the future.
