Speed and Reliability at an Unbeatable Price. 5 stars! I bought this TEAMGROUP MP33 512 GB SSD to give my laptop a boost, and the difference has been simply amazing. The installation was incredibly easy, and from the very first boot, my system's performance radically improved. The read and write speeds are fantastic, which has significantly reduced program and game loading times. No more long minutes of waiting! Plus, its compact M.2 size makes it perfect for modern laptops and desktop PCs. The reliability also seems to be top-notch. After several weeks of intensive use, I haven't had a single issue. A good value and decent performing SSD
I’ve been wanting to experiment with an external NVMe SSD drive on my MacBook Pro for a while now, but without shelling out additional big bucks. I used this along with an inexpensive Wavlink NVMe USB-C 10 Gbit/sec enclosure to make a budget external drive. I wasn’t really looking to get particularly super performance, just better than what I’d get from USB flash drives while off-loading storage for casual video editing. The MP33 isn’t the fastest drive in the world by todays metrics. It’s supposed to deliver 1800/1500 MB/s performance, which should run up against the 10 Gbit/sec performance of the enclosure. But I got results of around 1020/1008 MB/sec with this combination. Simple math says that’s about 8.16 Gbits/sec read throughput. Am I doing that right? I think so. But I realize there are a lot of variables that might go unaccounted for in a simple test. I don’t expect to get the full performance from any interface that says it’s 10 Gbit/sec. 8.16 Gbit/sec seems reasonable to me. It’s interesting that the read and write performance of the SSD were similar to each other, and this too points to the 10 Gbit/sec interface of the enclosure being the limiting factor rather than the SSD. I ran the test while connecting the drive directly to an unused USB-C port on the MacBook Pro. I then ran it again using a USB-A adapter and while plugging into an external USB-3 docking station. Here, I got around 977/995 MB/sec performance, so a bit slower. In any case, this result is about 2.5 times faster than an external SATA SSD attached to the same dock. So, I can’t really say that I’m pushing this SSD to its limits; rather it’s probably being limited by the external enclosure. In any case, it’s a good value SSD and a decent match to the enclosure to create a budget external SSD that’s faster than any of my current other options.

Great Price
I got this to replace an old 5400 RPM budget Seagate hard drive in a computer that I use as a server. So far I've had great success with team group ram, so I thought I would try their SSD as well. So far I have no reason to be disappointed. I have not tested speeds, but when you're comparing this to a 5400 RPM budget hard drive there's not really any need to run benchmarks. I know it's much faster. I did add a inexpensive heat sink to this just to make sure there won't be any thermal throttling, but it's unlikely I even needed to do that. Unfortunately Samsung and other NAND chip manufacturers are moving to reduce production in a very anti-consumer move to increase prices. This to me amounts to price fixing, and will only work if other manufacturers follow suit. I hope that team group will not be participating in this shenanigans. So far they ram and SSD prices are great, and the performance is as expected, and I've had no faulty products out of several RAM kits ordered.

Good SSD as system disk, but it appears its design/implementation have been changed somewhat lately
I bought this M.2 NVMe SSD for my Windows 11 system disk. Before buying it, I read some online reviews carefully. In particular, I was interested in the SSD's write speed after the SLC buffer had been filled. (I shall call it the steady state write speed below.) It was because after testing a few SSDs, I found this writing speeds and SLC buffer sizes varied widely. For cheap and/or not well designed SSDs, the SLC buffer could be only a few GB and their steady state writing speed might be very low, e.g., below 20MB/s. Because these parameters can not be determined by popular benchmarking programs such as CrystalDiskMark, it could degrade the computer performances. Read speed is usually not a problem. From the review articles that I read, it indicates that the steady state writing speed of TEAMGROUP MP33 should be above 400 MB/s. The SLC buffer should be able to contain 100 GB of data. I think such a design is pretty good for me. Another advantage of this SSD is that it uses TLC as the main memory. It should be more reliable than the lower cost QLC memories. Thus, I bought one from Amazon. After I received it, I did a few tests. The test results from CrystalDiskMark is shown in the first figure attached. It looks pretty good and meeting what specified by the manufacture. To test the write speeds, I used the AIDA64 program's disk linear write test. The results are shown in the second figure. First of all, the write speed maintained above 1.5GP/s for data over 100GB. This basically agrees with the published review results. However, after that, the write speed further redused to about 200MB/s, and then, after the data written into the drive beyond 280GB, the write speed reached the stead state of about 100MB/s. This is a little disappointing even though it should be O.K. for being used as a Windows PC's system drive. I also did a test of writing an 100 GB data file to the SSD. The result is shown in the third figure. From the figure, it can be seen that the write data speed is maintained above 1.15GB/s and thus verified the previous conclusion. Overall, I think this SSD is pretty good, better than some other MVNe drives at similar cost. The only concern is why the steady state is not as good as I read from some of the published reviews that I have seen. That is why I give a 4 star rating hear. However, I think it should be work satisfactory as a Windows 10/11 system disk without problem.

Faster than advertised!
I tested the TEAMGROUP MP33 512 GB NVMe SSD using several different methods. Installed in a dedicated UGREEN 10 Gbps USB enclosure, it achieved approximately 1053/1042 MB/s, essentially saturating the USB interface. Next, I installed it in a Cenmate enclosure where read performance also reached approximately 1053 MB/s. Write performance varied between runs, likely depending on the SSD's cache state. The SSD measured approximately 2086 MB/s read and 1757 MB/s write when installed directly on a motherboard PCIe slot. WOW, I was impressed since this is faster than they advertise.

5 Stars for excellent warranty service
I purchased one TEAMGROUP MP33 2TB for $78 when it was cheap in 2023. Used it as an external backup drive, so barely. It stopped working mid backup about 2 weeks ago and I couldn't get it back to work. Sent it in RMA Warranty claim on Friday and received a replacement by next Thursday. The 5 Stars is for excellent warranty service.

Great budget SSD with decent performance
It's not the fastest, but it's a great price for a 1TB drive, especially with a 5 year warranty. Plugged it into my PC and it was ready to go from there, no hassle at all. Recommended.
