Will this work sealing upvc windows?

Just used it to reseal my old UPVC windows + ran a bead of it on the underside of the UPVC sill outside. V easy to apply and very effective acoustically. Really notice a difference. Unfortunately the tube itself split and leaked the sealant into the applicator - will order another tube in hope this was just a one-off!
