Used for installing a 1 inch fitting in cast iron pipe.
Product did the job fine. Installed a 1 inch washer drain in cast iron soil pipe. Oil up your drills. Had to step up with drill sizes for the hole. Oiled up the tap. Had no problem cutting threads in the cast iron pipe. You have to go easy though. Cut a 1/4 inch, back it off and keep doing this all the way in. Clean your tap and re-oil it. Drill and tap servived the project in excellent condition.

Both tools were sharp
Needed this set to enlarge a hole in the bottom of a water filter tank. The bit cut right through, and the sharp tap threaded the opening perfectly.

Low cost solution for occasional use. In fairness, I’ve only used in plastic schedule 80 PVC pipe for a special project.
