Fit perfectly durability is yet unknown.
Item is a perfect fit for the troybuilt ex550 with the Briggs and Stratton 150cc engine. Install was easy and pretty self explanatory. As I use my mower a lot almost daily I started noticing a little fraying on the pull cord within the first 10 days. So far it's worked well, will update my review as for durability in the future.

This part breaks easily and does not last!!
I ordered this part to replace the same part on my mower of 8 years, had never broken before. Put in replacement in July, mowed twice and part broke third time I started the mower. I returned the broken part and was given a replacement since it was less than 30 days. About a month later (last week) the part broke AGAIN!! The part is cheaply made and keeps breaking in the same spot. No more. DO NOT GET THIS PART! I am hoping to find another supplier that makes it otherwise I am DONE with this mower and part supplier.
