I'm surprised to read the complaints because I really like mine! This product is suitable for light housekeeping. This is not a shop vac; it isn't intended nor should it be used for industrial or wet conditions. First, the bad news: (All minor issues.) It is made mostly with plastic parts and I don't know how durable it is but I think with a bit a care it should hold up okay. This vacuum cleaner is NOT perfect, it is noisy, and it is inconvenient because it has just one sponge filter for the cap which means you have to wait 24 hours for the sponge filter to dry after rinsing it and you can't use the vacuum cleaner without the sponge filter. They should make a second sponge filter available to use alternately while one is drying. Also, the cord is not retractable, so you have to keep the cord out of the way. Now for the good news: THIS IS A GREAT VACUUM CLEANER!!! I purchased my first vacuum cleaner over 30 years ago. Back then it was a major investment, costing the equivalent of half a month's pay. Since then, I have purchased several vacuum cleaners after research and evaluation. The cost of this vacuum cleaner was so inexpensive that I didn't have to think twice about purchasing it even though I only needed it for three months for a 675 s.f. apartment. It is efficient, effective, and lightweight. The first time I used it, I was surprised at how much dirt it picked up. I had to empty the cup twice. (someone else had vacuumed just a few days before with a borrowed vacuum cleaner) The nice thing about the cup is that you can retrieve any coins or needles and pins or anything that you may have vacuumed up by mistake. It was very reliable for the 3 months that I used it and then I left it in the apartment for the next person. I liked it so much that I purchased one for a friend with a disability (lightweight, easy to use). I also purchased one for my sister. And just recently, I purchased one for my home.

Suction power: not the dirt devil dorm vacuum, this is an absolute upgrade 10x over. The suction capability is on par with more expensive units ranging in the $300 dollar price range. After each use I’m absolutely shocked at what this thing picks up (soot, dirt, solids), it DIGS deep!However, this thing is so powerful at times it stays in one place and you have to muscle it about. Basically, it’s so good that it ends up being a tiny negative which I don’t have an issue with but people should be aware. To clarify I’d buy it again or would consider the same brand as an upgrade!Maneuvering: suction is so strong that at times it maybe difficult when being passed on carpet (cheap, non glued, unstable set in, SMALL CARPETS!). So the wheels are fine but the suction is so powerful my heart skips a beat if it’s in a spot for too long on a my small bathroom carpets.Weight: this is not heavy but can’t be lifted up with one arm but it can be used one handed and this isn’t a dorm vacuum or dirt devil simpli stick. This is a space saver.Overall it’s perfect, coming from a man that don’t need no woman like a fish needs a bicycle! Enjoy the pun, as I’m a dude that can clean. Take the plunge on this great purchase, it blew my mind and fulfilled my expectations.

Black and Decker has always been a name my family has trusted. I've used their hand vacs and other products and have always been satisfied. I was not disappointed in this vac. That said, I have mostly hardwood floors in my house and only use a vacuum on a couple of area rugs. This vac is very light and easy to use. Suction is great! I had vacuumed only a couple of days before, and so much extra dust and dirt came out of the carpet. I have only used it once so far, but have not had a problem with cat fur clogging the machine. It was easy to assemble out of the box. The dirt cup is easy to empty and clean. I especially like that both filters can be cleaned in the sink; no expensive replacements are needed.There are a couple of reasons I could not give this vac 5 stars. First, you get what you pay for. The body, while very light weight, is plastic. It just doesn't feel like a quality vac that will last a long time. Second, the hose is very short. You have to have the vac right next to the sofa to clean the cushions. Even then, the vac falls over easily. A couple extra feet of hose would be great. Third, it takes a little work to get the vac to lock upright. You can't just stand it up; you have to push it forward somewhat to get it to lock. All in all, though, its a good vacuum for the price.

I assumed based on the price when I bought this it would die within 6 months and lose suction (if it even had any) by month 3. However, this vacuum sucks up so much dirt, dust, and pet hair during my weekly vacuum it’s honestly a bit disgusting but so satisfying. It’s ability to suck up the small stuff is incredible although it does sometimes have difficulty sucking up large items if you don’t use the hose. I’ve had this for 3 years and have used it 1-2x weekly since purchase and only just now have I had to replace the rubber track inside ($6 on Amazon) and the sucking power remains strong. I have two pets and even put this thing through the rigor of vacuuming litter trackings and it’s still thriving. I highly recommend you get this if you’re on the fence!

Es una buena aspiradora, recoge todo el polvo , alguna que otra pelusa grande no lo hace ya que es dedicada más al polvo, pero todos los instrumentos muy buenos.
