Snake Gaiters Guards Chaps for Lower Legs, Men Women, Adjustable Size

Likely to end up just another item in a closet. I will put them on rarely (not really quite large enough for me. If you wear size XL to 2X, this is kind of a "barely". But it is easy to see it offers protection. The shield is obviously adequate to stop a bite. I wish they made one big enough to really fit me, but this is good otherwise.

I have hiked for decades, and I was very skeptical when buying these for local hikes. I tried them out for a number of hikes and can report that they fit well, don't slide around when properly adjusted, and most importantly gives me more confidence. They DO cause my lower legs to sweat but is a reasonable trade-off for the protection they give. I recommend facing the buckles outward when adjusting them. So far these are quality snake gaiters, and I hope I never have their bite protection tested!

Love these things. I use them when I edge and weed eat. They work great to keep the rocks and debris from hitting my shins. Great price. Great colors. I wash them in the washing machine so they are really durable. Adjusts to appropriate size.

I didn't encounter any rattlesnakes but I am confident no snake bite will penatrate these gaiters. My legs were protected from the knee down and over the top of my feet. I was also protected from the briars that normally cut my legs. they do keep your legs too warm but I don't care about that. I walked through thick woods where I sometimes couldn't see the ground below and sometimes in the dark. Over the course of several days in deep woods, I never worried about a snake bite.

I love these. They're a little bulky to hike in but considering I came within 2 feet of stepping on a Rattler recently, i'm find with the trade off. Rattlers get a little pissy about that sort of thing. I was concerned by the photos which make the gaiters look like there's a gap between the hiking boot and the back of the ankle. But there isn't. I'm confident nothing could bite through these. The workmanship looks first rate as well. I've only worn them twice, but i'm sure they'll last a long time.

These are adjustable. I'm 5'4" and they worked. They did eventually slide down a little. A little piece of stretch near the connector might help. I felt safe and protected. I've only used them a couple times in tall brush. I've never used other brands so unsure how to compare.

Fit well around my legs. The smaller panels on the back of the gaiters make them easier to put on. Need a foot strap to help keep them from spinning/twisting when walking. After a few wears, the stitching on the part covering the top of the foot is beginning to separate on one of the gaiters.
