Parker!
A premium pen that looks and feels exceptional! The Parker Jotter XL Monochrome Matte Gold has a classy, professional appearance and comes beautifully presented in a gift box. The larger size feels comfortable in the hand, the medium point writes smoothly, and the quality matches the Parker name. A great everyday pen that also makes an impressive gift.

Improving a classic
I'm a huge Parker pen fan. I like my Jotter, it's comfortable to write with, but it is kind of tiny. I thought I'd try an XL, and they're "just right." Compared to my regular Jotter, I think they're also a little bit wider; not as much as an IM. You get the same "click" everyone seems to like, and the same performance. Solid black pens are popular. I had one from a questionable company and it lasted six months. I learned to stay with the trusted brands, and in my biased opinion Parker is one of the most reliable. They also have the best clip and their refills are the industry standard. I've tried felt tip, fountain pen, and gel, but for everyday writing and especially underlining in books, you can't beat a trusty ballpoint. And for the price, you can't beat the Jotter. Update: I bought another one in a different color for a friend, a Christmas gift. I have a good selection of pens, both ballpoint and fountain, and the Jotter is the one I use the most. It feels good in the hand, is light-weight, and writes well. I've been experimenting with other refills and have been pleased, although the Parker refills are perfectly fine. I'm convinced that overall you can't beat the Parker Jotter XL.

The best pens
Parker jitter are the best quality. Satisfying click comes only from this brand. Wish it came in a finer point but can always switch it with a fine point Schmidt refill. They are a little expensive but considering recent events I canโt blame the company.

Good pen, mediocre build
Basically just a larger and more comfortable version of the regular jotter, comes in a variety of different color ways which I find pleasing to the eye, the stock refill is smooth but has very inconsistent ink flow. Not much of a problem since thereโs so many Parker G2 aftermarket refills out there. Only con would be that the build quality is not as nice as the regular jotter, plastic threads instead of metal has not caused any catastrophic failure for me yet but I feel that it doesnโt have the same amount of writing feedback and tactility compared to the regular metal-threaded jotter, but thatโs entirely personal opinion. Also, the clicker does not feel nearly as nice and assertive compared to the regular jotter but thatโs something I can live with. Overall a great pen but I wish it was built as well as its smaller equivalent.

Great pen
I want to start perfecting my cursive and improve my handwriting for college and just the one time I used it, it worked great. I was debating of getting it in the store or online since I didnโt know the price but it was so worth getting it online

As good or better than Cross for a fraction of the price - you decide!
First I am so done with Cross pens. I have purchased several Cross pens in the past and do still like them; however, in my opinion, Cross quality has diminished as they have become become increasingly greedy. The price of there pens have went up several times post pandemic with no noticeable improvements to quality if not less quality. Not to mention there so called "free" lifetime repair that costs $20 ($20 is probably more than most Cross pens are actually worth (i.e. even when fixing/replacing defective pens, cross is still making money most of the time) - the name can only go so far!). I also think (based on my experience) the the quality of Cross pens went way down after the American company sold out to a Chinese company. Never had any issues with the Cross pens I purchased when they were made by the American company. Instead of benefiting from Chinese lower manufacturer costs, Cross quality has diminished all while prices have went way way up! This is my second Parker pen, I have have owned my first one for over 25 Years with no issues. In my opinion, the quality (especially after the Chinese take over of Cross) and looks of Parker pens are as good or better than Cross pens for fare less cost. I have not owned or used Parker pens enough to form a complete personal opinion as to quality; however, I have experienced several quality issues with Cross pens and ink re-fills. Most Cross ink re-fills last for only a few weeks (cheep Bic pens wright better and usually last for years). I started purchasing after market Cross ink re-fills that all last much longer for a small fraction of the cost of Cross ink re-fills. Over the last 40 years I have had at least 6 Cross Pens that have failed mechanically (i.e. no longer twist open or shut or or stay open while writing). I am just sorry it took me so long to except that Cross pens are no longer or for a very long time now not worth it! Again (for all you lawyers out there), these comments are based on my opinions and personal experiences with Cross pens for the last 40 plus years and not intended to slander the Cross pens company. All readers should make there own decisions based on all available information.

My favorite nurse pen
The perfect pen for healthcare. As a type B nurse, I stick to the bare bones since I can never keep track of things. However, over 10 years of being a nurse, these pens are the only things Iโve ever been able to not lose. It has a tight enough clip that it wonโt fall out of your scrub pocket when you bend over. It has a delicious click that doubles as a fidget toy when you need to focus. The weight is fantastic and impressive to those needing to borrow it for a moment (I never walk away when someoneโs using it in case they think about pocketing it). Iโm now on my fourth pen after 10 years. The first one I actually found in my grandfatherโs office cleaning it out when he died, and I simply replaced the ink and used it for years until it got lost during a code blue, still sad about that. But it speaks to the longevity of these pens. I almost feel like I shouldnโt write this review so Parker doesnโt catch wind of how great and long lasting these affordable pens are, I think itโs worth more than what they charge.

A classic improved for the 21st Century
Great little pen. Classic design still works perfectly and looks great after 72 years. The bigger size makes it easier to use and the new matte black colour ways looks great. All steel construction gives it a good weight and the refills last a good long time. I like the gel ones, they flow better and maybe even look better on the page. Anyway, a true design classic that deserves a place in everyone's stationary arsenal.

Been using it daily for 7 months and I wont use any other pen
I suppose ive become a bit of a "pen snob" as I just refuse to use anything but this pen. I cant get over how good it feels in the fingers, how comfortable it is to write with and I do about 45 minutes or writing with it per day. Its so smooth on the fingers, it tickles a funny spot in my brain when I touch this pen, it feels that wonderful. Even the "click" of the pen at the top is so nice and crisp. The cartridge lasts for ever, im only on my 2nd cartridge in the 7 months and im pretty darn happy with that. It writes buttery smooth, the lines are crisp, it doesnt blotch up or over ink and make a mess. Seriously the best pen ive ever used and worth every dime (Since pennies are no longer a thing lol)
