Very poor quality, not even close to previous case...very disappointing
This is such a poor quality case and not reflective of the BookBook quality of the past. Elastic side strapping has popped, leather is peeling throughout case, zipper webbing is wearing out, leather on corners is worn through. Very disappointed in this purchase. We have bought these for several laptops, IPads and Iphones in the past. Our most recent purchase experiences, which includes an IPad cover have been sub par! Do you warranty these?

Above and Beyond with Quality and Creativity 🧡
It's rare that I leave reviews, let's face it, Amazon is a couple clicks and done buying experience, but these books are way too cool to not speak up on their behalf. Quality is phenomenal, they feel genuine, the zippers are very durable which gives me confidence in the longevity of their life, and above all, they REALLY DO look like old-school books, from a side view there is no way of telling what they really are. Even the packaging of these books shows how much the creators really care about their product, they come in a protective mesh bag with draw strings and even had little thank-you notes tucked in the books, they definitely made me smile. If you've read this far and you're on the fence about buying them, trust me, they're worth it, I will definitely be looking into what other products they may have. That's it, thanks for listening, have a wonderful day! 🙃

Limited for what it will fit...
I've been frustrated trying to find a dependable, classy case for my laptop and have had success with Twelve South bookstyle covers in the past. I went by the size descriptions and measurements, but found that either my laptop was too thick or the spine of the case was too narrow. Great quality product with a beautiful look, but not many people will be able to enjoy it because the specs are very specific. Bummer because I really liked it.

Real leather
This is probably the nicest case I have ever had for my MacBook Pro! It is made well, it has a zipper to seal it, and it is real leather! Everyone comments of how nice it looks but it not only looks nice it feels great to the touch! Best item I have purchased from Amazon in a while. I also purchased the accessories case to match and love it too!

BookBook is Awesome!
Twelve South BookBook V2:I have had my original BookBook for years and I cannot say enough about how great it is. I absolutely love it. I have one for my MacBook and one for my iPad and they are both fantastic. So when I needed a new computer and it claimed to be one inch larger than my existing one, I didn’t hesitate to get another BookBook for it. After all, the one I had was a pretty close fit.Turns out, the MacBook 16” is the same size as the MacBook 15”! I don’t know how those Mac engineers do it! :-DSo BookBook V2 has a slightly thinner profile and a more squared off binding which I think looks great, but for my money I prefer the older, rounded binding. It sits more comfortably in my hand. Also, V2 has an elastic band in it that I don’t understand which is not like the elastic bands in V1 which loop over the corners of the top of the laptop. All the same, I heartily endorse Twelve South as makers of quality products that will last.

Zipper Pull Metal Too Soft on This New Generation
I bought this new version cover. The outside leather is much improved but the zippers are much worse. Both zippers failed around the 20 month mark on this new "improved" version. In contrast, I still have my original cover with working zippers 8 years later. By failure, I mean that the pulls broke off leaving only a stub to catch my nail on to open and close the zipper. Suffice it to say, it becomes unusable. Unfortunately, it is out of warranty (1yr) and they do not do repairs, only warranty. I informed them of the zipper issue so they can change out their supplier in future models. Hopefully, they will listen.

Great quality.
This product is exactly what I was looking for to keep my new 16’ MacBook safe from damage and water. Genuine leather is very durable and makes for a great look. Over all this product has surpassed my expectations. Totally worth the money.

WAY too tight, and plastic zipper
This is the second one of these I've owned. I had hoped it would be like the first (that's the reason you come back and re-buy, after all.) However, they must have decided to skimp on materials because the new version fits far too snug - I mean FAR too snug. Yes, it's the right one for my model. It just fits with zero room to spare. It also has no little flaps or elastic bands to hold the screen in place (this is huge for me - I hate it), and the thick rubber bands on either side (you can see them in the images on the sales page - the big black bands) are seriously tight, so they amount to a constant pull on the screen of your laptop. Eventually, this is going to cause your laptop screen hinge to loosen, and the screen will automatically come down with no support. So that's a double whammy of disappointment right there. It not only doesn't support the screen, it long-term damages it. For me, that was the worst thing - but for others, the worst thing might be the zipper. It's plastic. I'm sorry, but you just can't put a plastic zipper on something THIS TIGHT. It's going to break. I can almost guarantee it. Every time I zip this thing up, I'm terrified it's going to POP and - well, that's it. It's done for. I really wish they would go back to the original design. If they don't at least seriously improve on this one, I will never buy one again.
