Wish (Emma Dodd's Love You Books)

I bought this book for my 18 month old for Christmas so I have a few weeks before I'm able to read it to him. The illustrations and foil effects are simple, beautiful and eye catching! The pages are very nice and thick. The words are large and perfect for younger children. The story itself is simple and very sweet. It's almost calming. I really enjoyed reading this before I wrapped it to go under the tree & I plan on gifting it for other parents to read this sweet little story to their little ones. This is my first Emma Dodd book and I hope to collect every one of her books. I'll definitely be buying for gifts also! THE ONLY PROBLEM: unfortunately I ordered a larger wooden toy with this book & the front cover was pretty beat up with dents. Very disappointing when you buy a product for its beauty and illustrations & count on Amazon to protect products during shipping. Of coarse, this is not the Authors fault, so I'll continue to give the 5 stars it deserves, but I just wanted to warn people! Nothing beats receiving a new, flawless book, so be aware if you order this along with other products. Books like this, that share the love and bond of a parent and child, are so important in a child's life & book collection. Great job Emma Dodd!

Super cute book. Pictures are clear and well drawn and the story has a really sweet message. One of my son's favorites the minute he got it.

Great story. This book made my husband and me cry. We gave this book to some friends who had babies.

I picked up the hardcover version specifically for the shiny elements on the pages (which are not in the board book). While she is too young yet to understand the words, the shiny pages and high contrast were enough to at least ensnare her attention sometimes even as a newborn. As she's gotten older, I have to be careful that she doesn't grab at the paper pages and possibly rip them on accident, but I still prefer this over the non-shiny board book version! I cannot read through the whole book without happy sniffles making an appearance. My husband and I both love wolves and we have a pair of malamutes, so this book was on our must-have list for when our baby was born! As a new parent, the sweet story of a mother's (or father's) wish and hopes for their child resonates with me, and deepens my love for the sweet bundle I am reading to. I anticipate this one will remain a favorite of mine for years to come.

What a sweet and perfect book! Got it as a card for my sister-in-law’s baby shower because their last name is Wolfe! So baby wolf was such a sweet choice. The story is precious and all about the adventures the big wolf shows them out in the world. Highly recommend! Beautiful book, amazing quality, fantastic illustration. Grab it!

The images are great, the writing has a nice rhyme scheme and the story gets me in the Mom feels everytime. I found a new book for all my future baby shower gifts!

Very cute story about a wolf and her cub. Bought it for my 2 year old grandson. It's his favorite book. He reads along holding his favorite stuffed animal...a wolf and her cub.

去年 紀伊国屋の絵本売り場で 表紙にひかれて即買いしたのがこの本の作者 Emma Ⅾoddの「Me…」でした（ペンギンの赤ちゃんのお話で 絵がメチャ可愛い！）そこからこの作者の絵本を買い漁るようになったのですがいままで購入した中では これがベスト！！全ページ 簡潔でさりげないフレーズなのに 何度読み返しても 最後の４ページあたりからウルっとしてしまいます すべての母親の心情が凝縮されているからでしょうか 今後 身内で出産予定のママがいたら ママ用にこの本 ベビー用に「Me…」（これも ラスト２ページでウルッと来る）をセットで送るつもりです！

Love Emma Dodd’s books! Bought for my daughter but would also make a great gift

We LOVE the Emma Dodd books so when we came across this one we just had to buy it. The words are beautiful and the illustrations are a lovely accompaniment. It’s become my go-to buy for any pals that are having a baby and I always seem to get comments back about how gorgeously heart warming the story is.

I adore this book! We read it everyday to both daughters. Great baby shower book!!! The whole series by Emma Dodd is great, but this one is the absolute BEST!!!
