Great katana not to be used for anything but display.
Delivery was on time, this is a very sturdy sword. Considering that people say "you get what you pay for" I got more than I expected. Although you have to understand that it is not super sharp and therefore not made to cut stuff such as bamboo. Also its blade being on the opposite side will make it difficult to swing properly. There one specific problem that irritated me two days after I recieved it. I noticed there was some sticky substance(much like tape residue) along the the unsharpened end of the sword, it was about the width of a quarters edge.It is removable but you should be careful not to dmage the blade.

Pleasently Surprised
I love weapons and because of that i have bought many a katana. I also happen to love anime so this was a great oppurtunity to combine those interests. Most katans i buy basically just look good and begin to wobble after about a week of just display use, the wraps around the handle have a tendancy to become on wraped and the hilt begins to just basically fall apart after a while but this weapon is extremely well crafter for being a production sword. I cant say it looks alot like kenshins but the fact that it is a sakabatu is amazing and the blade its self impresses me just as much handle. The scabbard is just as supurb as the sword and makes for an over all nice package well worth the money. For a sword being bought over the internet for this price it is a great find and worth the money. If you like ruroni kenshin i suggest buying this and if you just like katanas in general and would like a nice cheap well crafted one for display or for just the hell of swingin it around this is a great one to get =)

Battle Ready And Awsome
I love this sword and the things it came with, came in great great condition and although the blade wasn't sharpened anyone could easily do it themselves, that's the fun of having your own katana. I tested it out once I was done sharpening it and it works perfectly even though its just stainless steel it works like carbon.

the picture is what I wanted!
Not only is it wrong, but it sucks. It looks cheap, I mean plastic fake looking metal parts cheap. Waste of time snd money.

Its nice!
Not much to say, it is a very nice decorative Katana. The reverse blade looks nice, I wouldn't recommend swinging this around though. It is meant to look nice and that's about it, put it on a shelf and leave it there. This could cause serious injury if the blade broke or snapped off of the handle (since it is NOT full tang). But knowing this it is a well made replica for show and I am very happy with the overall look and feel of this Reverse Blade Katana. The stand isn't anything special but it does the trick.

Crap
This sword came with plastic on it? Like, I didn't think a katana had plastic in it at all. The blade was crap, dented up and not strait. It wasn't sharp. The sheith is crap. The only thig this sword is good for is collecting dust. And the stand was the best part, that's sad.

Wasn't what I expected, but it'll do.
(*Pre-review Note* I will be comparing this DECORATIVE sword to my FULL TANG sword throughout the review)I was looking for a reverse-edge sword because I will be cosplaying as, well if you're on this page then you know who, at an anime convention next year. The three things that I expected out of this sword were that it should resemble Kenshin's as much as possible, it be sturdy, and the blade should be perfectly straight (that last one's just for my OCD tendencies though). This sword reached 1 and a half of my expectations. 1. Resemblance: After closely inspecting Kenshin's sword in the anime and searching amazon, ebay, etc., this was in fact the closest looking one; it's color scheme is closest to the anime's and so is the design of the tsuba (hand guard). Mind you it's not a perfect twin, but still the closest (Resemblance: Pass). 2. Sturdiness: when I picked up the sword I immediately felt the difference between this sword and my other one. Because of this difference I'm not inclined to swing it as hard as my other sword. Not to say this sword wasn't sturdy at all; if I wiggled the sword around, the blade wouldn't move from side to side as if it were loose or something. Although if you were to apply some pressure to the blade then it will be (ever-so-)slightly bendy( *Note* the "bendyness" is most likely because of the fact that this is a DECORATIVE sword. All, if not, most, decorative swords are not made of steel, but a metal alloy[combination of two or more metals] that tends to be slightly weaker than steel, so let's just say I'm not surprised) Just be careful and don't attack anything solid. (Sturdiness: Somewhat passing) 3: Evenly straight blade: What I mean by this is that if I were to close one eye, hold the sword in front of me and directly point the tip away from me, then I should be able to see the blade make a non-crooked straight line from the base of the tsuba to its tip, lining up with the tsuka (handle) as well. This was not the case for me; the blade was in fact noticeably crooked from a wielder's point of view (this made my OCD tendencies overload, but for the convention it doesn't matter because "steel" weapons have to stay sheathed anyway). I flipped it to see how a spectator would see it, for some inexplicable reason it didn't appear quite as crooked (but still somewhat crooked). I don't know if it was just the sword I received or all the ones made just like it, but that was my case for sure. Although, it looks excellent from the sides. (Straight blade: Fail)Other things I'd like to point out:This sword is relatively light (Compared to my other sword, anyway. *this was a pleasant surprise seeing as how I am going to be lugging it around a convention for three days*)The tsuka's quality didn't measure up to my other sword's tsuka, but not like it was terrible quality either. (but again this sword is DECORATIVE and my other is FULL TANG so I guess this quality difference was to be expected)When I put the sword back into the sheath, I have to apply some extra downward pressure in order to get it back in. (Again, I don't know if it was just the sword I received or all the ones made like it, but that was my case for sure.)The blade is very dull, well under the legal limit to sell these (i.e. could have been sold sharper. Again, the sword is DECORATIVE so this shouldn't be a problem anyway, I just thought I should point it out *another pleasant surprise because I don't want the people running prop/weapon inspection at the convention thinking that I'm going to murder somebody*)The blade has "440 Stainless China" carved into it (it's in small(ish) print and it has no ink or paint on the text so it's hardly noticeable. Again, says 440 Stainless but I have my doubts.)When I opened the packaging of the sword for the first time, there was some sort of white(ish) powdery residue all over the saya (scabbard or sheath). (I don't know what was up with that, I just found it really weird.)My advice:Buy it if you want, but take good care of it.
